Metamucil Thicks Cinnamon spice is a fiber-based laxative used for occasional constipation and bowel irregularities. Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice may help reduce cholesterol when combined with a low-cholesterol and saturated-fat diet. Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice may be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of Metamucil Thins Cinnamon Spice

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives, facial or throat swelling and difficulty swallowing, seek medical assistance immediately: difficulty in taking deep breaths. If an allergic reaction arises causing difficulty in taking in air, swelling occurs around lips, face, throat or tongue area and difficulty speaking is experienced, seek immediate medical advice as soon as possible: difficulty in taking in air.

Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice can cause severe side effects. If you experience:

  • Constipation lasting more than seven days
  • Rectal bleeding
  • Severe stomach pain.

If you've ever:

The medication may also contain sodium or sugar. If you suffer from diabetes, hypertension, or PKU (phenylketonuria), you should check the label of your medication. You may need a different dose during pregnancy and while nursing. Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice should not be given to children younger than six years of age without consulting a doctor.

How to take Metamucil Thins Cinnamon Spice?

Follow the instructions on the packaging or those prescribed by your physician. If laxatives are taken too frequently or for too long, they can become habit-forming. Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice may cause your throat to swell and result in choking if taken without enough liquid. To improve your bowel movements, drink plenty of water each day. Interaction with other drug

Metamucil Thins Cinnamon Spice can cause your body to have a harder time absorbing other medications you may take orally, making them potentially less effective. Take any other oral medications 2 hours prior to or 2 hours following the time you take Metamucil Thins Cinnamon Spice. Metamucil Thins Cinnamon spice may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your physician of all medications you are currently taking as well as those you discontinue or begin using, whether these changes apply to one medication or all.
