How to take Leader Nicotine Polacrilex (gum, lozenge)?

This medication is part of a comprehensive treatment programme that may include counselling, group support, and behavioural changes. You will be successful if you are committed to all aspects of the smoking cessation programme.Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Begin using Leader Nicotine Polacrilex lozenges or gum the day after you quit smoking or using tobacco.The dose you receive will be determined by how many cigarettes per day you smoked before quitting.Please read and strictly abide by all instructions that accompany your medication. If you don't understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Wrap the gum or lozenge in paper, and then throw it in a location where pets and children cannot reach it.This medicine should not be used for more than 12 weeks without consulting your doctor.Use no more than one piece of gum or lozenge at a given time. Use the gum and lozenges separately.Store away from moisture, heat, and light at room temperature.Keep all gums and lozenges, both used and unopened, out of reach of children and pets.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You are unlikely to miss a dosage since Leader Nicotine Polacrilex Polacrilex can be used whenever needed. Use no more than 24 gum pieces or 20 lozenges per day.

What should be avoided?

Avoid eating or drinking anything for 15 minutes prior to using the lozenge, gum, or medicine.
