
What is Goody's extra strength?
Acetaminophen relieves pain and lowers the fever. Aspirin contains salicylate. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system.Goodys Extra Strength contains a combination of medicines that can be used to treat headaches caused by migraines, tension headaches, or muscle aches. It also treats toothaches and pains due to arthritis.Aspirin should not be used for blood vessel or heart conditions unless you are told to by your doctor.This medication guide does not list all possible uses for Goodys Extra Strength.
Side effects of Goodys Extra Strength
If you experience symptoms indicative of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing or swelling of lips, face, tongue or throat - seek medical assistance immediately!Acetaminophen can cause severe skin reactions that are fatal. This may happen even if you've taken it before and never had a reaction. Call your doctor immediately if the skin becomes red or you develop a rash. If blisters form and you peel them off, stop taking the medicine.
This medicine can cause serious side effects. If you experience:
- Severe anxiety, agitation, confusion, and panic;
- Easy bruising and bleeding
- A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
- Dehydration symptoms—feeling thirsty, hot, or unable to urinate. Heavy sweating or hot and dried skin.
- Bloody or tarry stool, bloody vomit, or sputum that looks like coffee grounds are all symptoms of stomach bleeding.
- High potassium: nausea, tingly feelings, chest pains, irregular heartbeats, and loss of mobility;
- Liver problems: nausea, upper stomach discomfort, itching; loss of appetite; dark urine; clay-coloured stools; jaundice.
Goodys extra strength may cause the following side effects:
- Stomach upset; heartburn.
- Feeling anxious, restless, or depressed?
- Sleep problems (insomnia).

Before you take this drug
This medicine should not be given to children or teens with chicken pox, influenza symptoms, or fever. Reye syndrome can be caused by aspirin. This is a serious condition that can even lead to death in children.This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to acetaminophen or Tylenol, aspirin, coffee, or any NSAIDs such as diclofenac, ibuprofen, indomethacin, meloxicam, naproxen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, and other NSAIDs.Aspirin can cause fatal bleeding in the stomach or intestine. You may not be aware of these conditions if you take this medication.
If you have had any of the following:
- Liver diseases; cirrhosis; a history of alcoholism; or if you consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day.
- Seasonal allergies or asthma
- Fever with a stiff neck
- Ulcerative colitis, bleeding in the stomach or intestine
- Bleeding problems
- Kidney disease
- If you take medicine to prevent or treat blood clots or to treat glaucoma,
If you are taking Goodys Extra Strong to treat migraine pain and you experience:
- A headache that is so severe you need to lay down
- A headache that makes you vomit
- What feels like your worst headache ever?
- A headache that is different from the usual headaches you get;
- A headache every day
- A headache may occur after coughing, bending, exercising, or after a head injury.
- If you've never been diagnosed with migraines by a physician,
- If you have your first headache after 50,
Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing.Aspirin taken during pregnancy can cause bleeding, either in the mother or baby. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant.This medicine should not be given to anyone under 18 without consulting a doctor.
How to take Goodys extra strength?
Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Overdoses of acetaminophen may cause liver damage or death.If the medicine makes you feel sick, take it with milk or food.If your symptoms don't improve within 7 days, or you experience a fever that lasts more than 3 days or swelling or pain for longer than 10 consecutive days, call your doctor.The headaches can be worsened by overusing migraine headache medication (more than 10 times per month). If this medication seems to be working less well, tell your doctor.This medication could influence certain test results. Goodys Extra Strength should be mentioned to any doctor you see.You may have to temporarily stop taking this medication if you are going to need surgical or dental procedures.Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
You may not have a schedule for Goodys Extra Strength, as it is only used when necessary. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip any missed doses. Never take two doses in one go.
What happens if I overdose?
Call the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency medical care. Acetaminophen overdoses can cause liver damage or death.Early symptoms of an overdose may include nausea, vomiting, or weakness. Other symptoms include dark urine and skin or eye yellowing, upper stomach pains, and upper abdominal pain.Other overdose symptoms include hallucinations (hallucinations), a fast or slow heartbeat, or seizures.
What should be avoided?
Avoid alcohol. You may be at greater risk for liver damage or stomach bleeding.Before using any other medication for pain, fever, swelling, or to treat cold or flu symptoms, consult your doctor or pharmacist. These medicines may contain similar ingredients to aspirin or acetaminophen (such as ibuprofen, ketoprofen, or naproxen).Avoid caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, cola, and other products. These drinks can increase the side effects caused by the medication's caffeine.
Interaction with other drug
Goodys Extra Strength may interact with other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are taking and those that you stop or start using.
