What is Formulation R rectal?

Formulation R shrinks blood vessels. Hemorrhoids can be caused by dilated blood vessels. Hemorrhoids can cause itching, irritation, and swelling. Formulation R relieves these symptoms. This medication guide does not list all possible uses for Formulation R.

Side effects of Formulation R rectal

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

The side effects of Formulation R can be serious. If you experience:

  • Rectal bleeding
  • Severe irritation in or around the rectum
  • Increased blood pressure; severe headache; blurred vision; pounding in the neck or ears Anxiety. Nosebleed.

Before you take this drug

Formulation R is not recommended if you have an allergy to it. Formulation R is often used in cold and allergy medications.

If you suffer from:

  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Urination or prostate problems;
  • Diabetes;
  • A thyroid disorder.

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor prior to using Formulation R for a child under 2 years of age.

How to take Formulation R for rectal?

Be sure to follow any directions on the label or those issued by your doctor. Formulation R can be taken up to four times a day, ideally after experiencing a bowel movement. Please read and adhere to all instructions included with your medication. If you don't understand them, consult your physician or pharmacist. Phenylephrine Rectal should only be applied externally and around your rectum area. Formulation R gel or ointment should not be placed directly on it. Rectal suppository should be the sole object placed into the rectum. If symptoms do not improve in 7 days or worsen, seek medical advice immediately. Store in an airtight, moisture proof environment at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You are unlikely to miss a dosage of Formulation R Rectal, as it is only used when needed. Formulation R should not be used more than four times per day.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

You should not swallow Formulation R Rectal Suppository. This product is only for your rectum. Before using any over-the-counter medicines that contain ingredients similar to Formulation R, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Interaction with other drug

Before using Formulation R in conjunction with other medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Blood pressure medication
  • An MAO inhibitor—isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, and others.
