What is Flurbiprofen?

Flurbiprofen can be used to treat the pain and inflammation that may result from osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Flurbiprofen can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Flurbiprofen

If you experience symptoms of an allergic response (sneezing or runny nose, hives or difficulty breathing, swelling on your face or in your throat), or severe skin reactions (fever, sore neck, burning eyes, skin pain or blistering, or a red or purple rash with blistering or peeling), Should any of these symptoms appear, seek emergency medical assistance immediately.

Flurbiprofen may cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Changes in your vision
  • Skin rashes of all shapes and sizes can be defined as any skin condition on which there is visible reddening, including minor ones that don't even cause symptoms to show immediately.
  • Shortness of breath even with mild exertion
  • Swelling or rapid weight gain

Flurbiprofen side effects include:

  • Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting
  • Feeling nervous, confused, or trembling?
  • Diarrhea, constipation;
  • Headache, dizziness, and drowsiness;
  • Increased sweating, itching, and rash
  • Ringing in the ears

Warnings

Flurbiprofen increases your risk of a fatal stroke or heart attack. Flurbiprofen should not be taken before or after coronary artery bypass surgery. Flurbiprofen can also cause fatal stomach or intestinal bleeding.

Before you take this drug

Even if you have no risk factors, flurbiprofen may increase your risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke. This medicine should not be taken before or immediately after heart bypass surgery. Flurbiprofen can also cause fatal stomach or intestinal bleeding. Flurbiprofen can cause these conditions without warning, especially for older adults. Flurbiprofen should not be used if it is allergic to you or if your asthma attacks or allergic reactions were severe after you took aspirin or NSAIDs.

Tell your doctor about any of the following:

  • Heart condition, hypertension, high cholesterol, or diabetes;
  • A heart attack, stroke, or blood clot.
  • Stomach ulcers or bleeding
  • Asthma;
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Fluid retention.

Flurbiprofen should not be used during pregnancy unless prescribed by your doctor. NSAIDs can cause complications during pregnancy or harm to the unborn child if taken in the last twenty weeks. Inform your doctor if breastfeeding is a concern. No one under the age of 18 is allowed to use this product.

How to take Flurbiprofen?

Read all the instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow the directions. Your doctor might occasionally adjust your dosage. Use the lowest effective dose to treat your condition. You may need to undergo frequent medical tests if you use flurbiprofen for a long time. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

Adult dose for osteoarthritis:
Divided doses of 200 mg to 300mg orally daily in 2 to 4 divided doses
Maximum single dose: 100 mg

What happens if I miss the dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip any missed one and wait to take your scheduled dosage.Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.

What should be avoided?

Avoid alcohol. Alcohol can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. They may contain ingredients similar to flurbiprofen (such as aspirin, a data-type="auto" These medicines may contain similar ingredients to flurbiprofen, such as aspirin or ibuprofen. Ketoprofen and naproxen are also examples.

Interaction with other drug

Before taking flurbiprofen, ask your doctor if you are on an antidepressant. Certain antidepressants may cause you to bruise or bleed easily.

Before using any other medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist about flurbiprofen.

  • Lithium;
  • Methotrexate;
  • A blood thinner (warfarin; Coumadin; Jantoven);
  • Heart or blood pressure medications, including diuretics or "water pills";
