What is Fioricet with Codeine?
Fioricet, together with codeine, is a combination medication for treating tension headaches after other treatments have not worked. The combination medicine Fiorinal and Codeine is not a treatment for headaches that occur and disappear. This medication contains codeine, which is an opioid (narcotic) medication that could be habit-forming. The medication can also be used to treat conditions that are not mentioned in this guideline.
Side Effects of Fioricet with Codeine
See a doctor immediately. Before you take this drug
It is not recommended to use this medication if you have an allergy to aspirin or butalbital, the caffeine component, or codeine, or if you suffer from:

Do not give this medication to a child who has a fever, flu-like symptoms, or chickenpox. Aspirin may cause Reye's syndrome, a severe and often fatal condition for adolescents.If you take opioids when you are pregnant, your child could develop a dependence on the medication. What should be avoided?

Dangerous side effects, or even death, may occur.Consult a physician or pharmacist prior to taking other medicines to treat swelling, fever, pain, or symptoms of the cold or flu. They could contain ingredients that are like aspirin (such as ketoprofen, ibuprofen, or naproxen).
Interaction with other drug
There is a possibility of breathing issues or withdrawal symptoms when you discontinue or change the dosage of certain other medications. Inform your doctor if you are also taking an antibiotic or antifungal medicine, as well as blood pressure or heart medications, seizure medication, or medication for treating HIV or hepatitis C.
