What is DigiFab?

DigiFab is an antidote for a potentially fatal overdose of digoxin or digitoxin. DigiFab is not the best treatment for a minor digitalis overdose. DigiFab could be used for other purposes not covered in this guideline for medication.

Side effects of DigiFab

Warnings

If possible, prior to the time you take DigiFab, inform your doctor that you suffer from cardiovascular disease or kidney disease or if you're sensitive to antibiotics such as papaya, papaya, or pineapple.

Before you take this drug

If you are able to do so prior to receiving digifab, inform your caregivers whether you suffer from:

  • Heart disease;
  • Kidney disease;
  • An allergy to antibiotics, or
  • An allergy or sensitization to the papaya juices (papain, chymopapain) or an allergy to pineapple

In the event of an emergency, there is a chance that you will not be able to inform the caregivers that you are breastfeeding or pregnant. Be sure that any doctor who cares for your baby or your pregnant mother has been informed that you purchased DigiFab.

How to take DigiFab?
