What is DesOwen Cream Kit?

Desonide helps to reduce inflammation. The DesOwen Cream Kit is used for the treatment of inflammation or itching due to eczema and skin disorders that respond to steroids. This medication guide does not list all possible uses for the DesOwen cream kit.

Side effects of DesOwen Cream Kit

If you experience difficulty breathing, hives or swelling of lips, face, throat or tongue as symptoms of an allergy; symptoms could include difficulty with oxygen supply to your lungs; breathing difficulty; swelling to lips, face or throat and tongue and an upset stomach or cough

The DesOwen Cream Kit can cause severe side effects. If you experience:

  • Skin condition worsens;
  • Redness, heat, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation on any skin treated
  • Blurred vision, pain in the eyes, or seeing halos around lights
  • High blood sugar: increased thirst and increased urination Dry Mouth Fruity Breath Odor;
  • Possible signs that you have absorbed DesOwen Cream Kit via your skin include: weight gain, especially in the face, upper back, and torso; slow wound healing or discoloration; increased hair growth; muscle weakness or fatigue; nausea or diarrhea.

Children's growth can be affected by steroids. If your child's growth isn't normal while taking this medication, tell your doctor.

Some of the common side effects that the DesOwen Cream Kit can cause include:

  • The skin may sting or burn after treatment.
  • Skin irritation is characterized by redness, itching, or hardening.
  • Dry, oily, or scaly skin
  • You may experience swelling in your feet or hands.
  • Acne, stretch marks;
  • Redness around the hair follicles.

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to desonide, then it is best not to use this product.

If you've ever:

  • Any type of skin infection
  • Diabetes;
  • A skin reaction after taking steroid medication

Unknown is whether the DesOwen cream kit will cause harm to an unborn child. Inform your doctor that you're pregnant. Breastfeeding may be unsafe while taking this medication.Before undertaking a medical procedure, be sure to discuss any potential risks with your healthcare provider. Avoid areas where the mouth of a baby may be in contact with desonide if you apply it to your chest. This medicine should not be given to children without consulting a doctor. This medicine is only for adults over 18 years old. Children tend to absorb this medicine more readily through their skin than adults do, leading to possible side effects from using this drug.

How to take DesOwen Cream Kit?

Read all the instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all the directions. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines are only to be used on the skin. If this medication gets into your mouth or eyes, rinse with water. Before each use, shake the lotion. After using desonide, wash your hands, except if you're using it to treat your skin. Rub a thin layer on the affected skin. You should not use this medication to cover a wide area of the skin unless you have been told by your doctor. Cover the area of skin that has been treated only if your doctor says so. The amount of medicine that is absorbed by your skin can be increased if you cover the treated area. This may have harmful side effects. Use only loose-fitting or plastic diapers if you're treating your diaper area. The medicine should only be used for a short time (between 2 and 4 weeks). Dosage instructions should be followed very closely by your doctor. Once your symptoms have been controlled, you should discontinue using the medication. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen, call your doctor. Keep the bottle or tube at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. When not in use, keep the tube or bottle tightly closed.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If you are close to your next dose, skip the missed one. Never apply two doses at once.

What happens if I overdose?

If anyone accidentally swallows the medicine, seek emergency medical care or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222. The DesOwen Cream Kit is not recommended for use in high doses. This can cause thinning of the skin or bruising. It may also lead to changes in body weight (especially on your neck, face, waist, and back), acne, facial hair growth, menstrual issues, impotence, or a loss of sexual interest.

What should be avoided?

Do not get the DesOwen Cream Kit near your nose, mouth, eyes, or other sensitive areas. Use the DesOwen Cream Kit only after consulting your physician to determine the skin condition.

Interaction with other drug

Any additional drugs you take won't interfere with the treatment applied topically to your skin.Many drugs interact. Inform your health care providers of all the medicines that you take, including those prescribed and over-the-counter, vitamins, and herbs.
