What is SAM-e (same)?

SAM-e (also called same) can be described as a manufactured version of a chemical that is naturally present within the body.same could be effective in alternative therapies as an aid to the treatment of osteoarthritis.same has been utilized in alternative medicine as an efficient treatment for itching, tiredness, and abnormal lab tests in people suffering from liver conditions and for improving the symptoms of people suffering from depressive disorders.

Other uses that aren't supported by research include treating alcohol-related liver diseases as well as schizophrenia, aging, Alzheimer disease, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain seizures, migraine headaches, premenstrual disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

It is not known if same can be effective in treating any medical issue. The use of this product for medical purposes is not endorsed by the FDA. Same is not recommended as a substitute for medications recommended by your physician.

Same is typically sold as an herbal supplement. There are no controlled manufacturing standards for many herbal substances, and a few supplements that are sold on the market have been identified as having contamination with poisonous metals or other substances. Side effects of SAM-e (same)

Contact a medical professional immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you show symptoms that indicate an allergy, such as asthma, difficulty breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, or tongue.

Get medical attention immediately when you exhibit signs associated with serotonin syndrome, for example, hallucinations, agitation, sweating or shivering, an increase in heart rate, muscle stiffness, or twitching. You may also experience loss of coordination, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

While not all adverse consequences are fully understood, same is thought to be safe for a majority of adults if used according to the directions.

Common negative side effects of SAM include:

  • Hair color changes
  • Headache, dizziness;
  • Experiencing anxiety or fear;
  • Loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, vomiting;
  • Dry mouth;
  • Diarrhea, constipation;
  • An increase in sweating increased sweating
  • Sleep problems (insomnia).

It is not recommended to use same if you suffer from bipolar depression, anxiety disorder, or are taking medication for depression.

Do not take same in the event that you've taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. A potentially hazardous interaction with a substance can occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid linezolid, methylene blue injection rasagiline, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.

Prior to use this drug

It is not recommended to take SAM if you suffer from bipolar disorder (manic depression), anxiety disorder, or antidepressants.

Don't use same in the event that you've taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. A risky drug interaction may occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid linezolid Methylene blue injection rasagiline and phenelzine, as well as tranylcypromine and others.

Consult your doctor if you also take stimulant medicines, opioid medication, herbal products, or medications to treat mental illness, depression, Parkinson's disease, migraine headaches, severe infections, or for the prevention of vomiting and nausea. An interaction with same can cause a serious health condition known as serotonin syndrome.

How to take same?

Follow the instructions of your physician regarding any food restrictions, drinks, food, or any activity.

Interaction with other drugs

Do not use same in the absence of medical consultation if using any of these medicines:

  • Dextromethorphan (a cough medicine such as Robitussin, DM);
  • Serotonin-related drugs Serotonin-related drugs, for example, antidepressants, stimulants, or medications for migraines;
  • Levodopa;
  • A narcotic drug like meperidine (Demerol), pentazocine, and tramadol (Ultram, Ultracet).
