What is DermasilkRx SDS Pak?
Triamcinolone helps reduce inflammation within the body. DermasilkRx (for skin) SDS Pak is used for the treatment of inflammation and itch due to skin disorders that respond to steroids. Triamcinolone is used in the dental topical paste to treat oral ulcers. DermasilkRx Pak SDS may be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.
Side effects of DermasilkRx SDS Pak
If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergy reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or swelling on lips, face throat or tongue
DermasilkRx SDS Pak may cause serious side effects. If you experience:
- Skin conditions are worsening;
- Redness, heat, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation on any skin treated
- Blurred vision, pain in the eyes, or seeing halos around lights
- Dry mouth and fruity breath smell;
- Possible signs that DermasilkRx is absorbed through the skin or gums include: weight gain, especially in the face, upper back, and torso; discolored or thinning skin; more body hair; weakness of muscles; nausea or diarrhea. Other symptoms may include fatigue, changes in mood, changes in menstruation, or sexual changes.
This medicine can be absorbed more easily by children through their skin. They may experience side effects like headaches or eye pain. This medicine can cause a soft bulge on the top of the baby's head (where the skull is still not fully formed).
Some of the most common side effects associated with DermasilkRx's SDS pak include:
- The skin may be irritated by burning, itching, or dryness.
- Redness around the hair follicles.
- Redness around the mouth or itching;
- Allergic skin reactions
- Stretch marks;
- Acne, which causes increased hair growth on the body;
- Skin discoloration or thinning;
- The skin appears white, or even "pruned", when it is covered with tight bandages or another covering.
There may be other side effects. Call your physician immediately if experiencing side effects; alternatively you can contact FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 to report them.

Please read all instructions provided with your medication carefully, inform doctors of allergies or medical conditions that exist as well as listing which medicines you take, before beginning use of said products.
Before you take this drug
If you have an allergy to triamcinolone, do not use it.
If you've ever:
- Any type of skin infection
- A skin reaction after taking steroid medication;
- Liver Disease
- An adrenal gland disease is a disorder.
If you have diabetes, tell your doctor. Inform your doctor that you suffer from type 2 diabetes. Inform your doctor whether you're pregnant or nursing. Avoid areas where the mouth of your nursing child may be in contact with triamcinolone if you apply it to your chest.
How to take DermasilkRx SDS Pak?
Review all instructions or guides included with your medication and follow them strictly, especially the ones printed on its prescription label. DermasilkRx is only for skin use. Triamcinolone is used to treat an oral ulcer by applying it directly to the area. Never swallow DermasilkRx sds pak. You should wash your hands both before and after you use DermasilkRx. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied to the affected skin. You should not use this medication to cover a large surface area unless you have been told by your doctor. Cover the area of skin that has been treated only if your doctor says so. The amount of medicine that is absorbed by your skin can be increased if you cover the treated area. This may have harmful side effects. Use only loose-fitting or plastic diapers if you're treating your diaper area. Use the paste by pressing a tiny dab on the ulcer, but don't rub it in. This will leave a thin layer that you should keep for several hours. Triamcinolone is applied to the teeth at night or after eating. Please follow your doctor's directions. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen, contact your physician right away.Triamcinolone toothpaste should help heal a mouth ulcer within a week. Once your symptoms have been controlled, you should discontinue using the medication. Stay away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
If you are close to your next dose, skip the missed one. Never apply two doses at once.
What happens if I overdose?
If anyone accidentally swallows the medicine, seek emergency medical care or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222. The use of steroids in high doses can cause thinning of the skin or bruising. It may also lead to changes in body weight (especially on your neck, face, back, and waist), acne, facial hair growth, menstrual issues, impotence, or a loss of sexual interest.
What should be avoided?
Do not get DermasilkRx in your eye. Do not use other topical steroids on areas treated with triamcinolone unless you are told to by your doctor. DermasilkRx Pak should not be used to treat conditions that have not been examined by your physician. This medicine should not be shared with anyone else, even if the other person has similar symptoms.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine applied to your skin. Many drugs interact. Inform your health care providers of all the medicines that you take, including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbs.
