What is Calcium 600+D?

Calcium is an essential mineral for the body's many functions, including bone formation and maintenance. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium effectively. Calcium 600+D can be used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. Many brands and forms of calcium and vitamin D are available.This leaflet does not list all brands. Side effects of Calcium 600+D

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or facial or throat swelling - seek medical help immediately! If you notice any of the following signs that your body has too much calcium, call your doctor immediately.

  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation;
  • Increased thirst or urination
  • Muscle weakness and bone pain
  • Feeling tired, confused, or lacking energy?

Side effects of calcium 600+D include:

  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Weakness, drowsiness, headache;
  • A metallic taste or feeling in your mouth, or a dry mouth
  • Muscle or bone pain

If you are suffering from:

How to take calcium 600+D?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it. You can check the label to determine if you should take your calcium 600+D with or without food. Take the tablet along with a glass of water. Chew the chewable tablet before swallowing it. No longer chew or crush the extended-release tablets. Take it as a whole. Calcium and vitamin D are only two parts of an overall treatment programme that includes diet changes. Find out which foods contain vitamin D and calcium. As you change your diet, it is possible that the dosage of your supplement will need to be adjusted. You should follow your doctor's advice. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If you are almost due for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.
