What is Auro-Dri?

Auro-Dri (for use in the ear) can be used to treat dry, swollen water that has clogged the ear canal following bathing, swimming, showering or washing hair.Auro-Dri can also be used to treat conditions that are not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Auro-Dri

Prior to using this drug

Consult a physician or pharmacist about whether Auro-Dri is safe for you to use if you suffer from:

  • Ailment or pain in the ear;
  • The drainage of your ear
  • Dizziness;
  • If you've had an ear operation,

How do I take Auro-Dri?

Follow the directions on the label or as recommended by your physician.Do not chew it. Otic medicine is intended for use only for ear infections.Cleanse your hands prior to using drops for your ears.

For ear drops to use:

  • Relax or place your head so that your ear is looking upwards. In the ear canal, open it with a gentle pull of your ear or by pulling it downward on the earlobe when you administer the medicine to a child.
  • Use the dropper upside-down on your ear and drop the proper number of drops in the ear.
  • Lay down on your back or keep your head tilted for a minimum of 2 minutes.
  • Don't play with the dropper tip or put it directly into your ear. The tip could be dirty. Clean the area using a clean tissue, but don't wash it with soap or water.

Do not let a child play with this product if they are not supervised.Contact your physician if your symptoms do not improve or if they become worseMaintain a room-temperature environment to preserve quality of ingredients, without heat and moisture sources.Make sure the bottle is tightly sealed when not being used.Isopropyl alcohol gel is flammable. Avoid using near-high temperatures or near open flames. Don't smoke until the gel is completely dried out of your ears.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Auro-Dri should be applied only whenever needed and doesn't have an established dosing schedule. Use only the recommended number of drops at a time.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of isopropyl alcohol, the narcotic, should not be considered a danger. Get medical attention immediately or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222 if you have accidentally swallowed the drug.

Interaction with other drug

The medicine used to treat ear infections will not be affected by any other medications you take. However, many medications can interfere with each other. Be sure to inform your health professionals about all medications you are taking, which includes medications that are prescribed and available over the counter, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
