What is Anucort-HC?

Anucort-HC (cream or suppository) is a steroid medication that is prescribed for temporary relief from itching, swelling, itching, or irritations caused by haemorrhoids or other ailments in the anus (the opening in the rectum).Anucort-HC can also be used in conjunction with other medications to treat ulcerative colitis.Anucort-HC could also be used to treat conditions not covered in this medication guideline.

Common negative effects of anucort hc include:

How to take Anucort-HC?

Do not apply the cream directly onto the rectum.Contact your physician if your symptoms don't improve or if they become worse.Don't use this medicine to treat any illness that hasn't been examined by your physician. Do not apply the cream for rectal problems in order to cure the rash of diapers.The suppository for the rectal may stain clothes or other fabrics that come into contact with the medication.Keep it at room temperature, far from heat and moisture. Don't freeze.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Take the medication as quickly as you are able, but take a break from your missed dosage if you are close to the time for the next dose. Don't take two doses at once.

What happens if I overdose?

Get medical attention in an emergency or contact the Poison Help Line toll-free at 1-800-222-1222.The long-term use or high doses of steroid medication could cause thinning of the skin, easy bruising, shifts in the body's fat (especially around the neck, face back, waist, and face), as well as increased facial hair or acne, menstrual disorders, impotence, or a loss of desire to have sexual activity.
