What is Resperal-DM Drops?

Brompheniramine acts as an antihistamine. Dextromethorphan works as a cough suppressant. Pseudoephedrine works as a decongestant.Risperdal-DM drops are a combination medication used to treat allergies, sneezing, and watery eyes caused by the common flu.Risperdal-DM drops can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Resperal-DM Drops

Seek immediate medical care if you have difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in the lips, face or throat.

This medicine can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Hallucinations;
  • A seizure;
  • Urination that is painful or difficult
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
  • Fast or pounding heartbeats
  • Fever, body aches, chills, and pale skin are all symptoms of
  • Severe headache with blurred vision or a pounding sensation in the neck or ears.

Resperal-dm drops may cause the following side effects:

  • Dizziness, drowsiness;
  • Thick mucus in the lungs
  • Feeling restless or excited, especially in children
  • Dry throat, nose, or mouth.

Do not use it other than as directed. Inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking or if you have allergies or other medical conditions.

Before you take this drug

This medicine should not be used if:

  • High blood pressure is a serious condition.
  • Severe coronary heart disease.

Resperal-DM drops should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.

Inform your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms:

  • COPD is a chronic obstructive lung disease.
  • A cough that is mucus-filled, or one caused by smoke or asthma
  • A blockage of your digestive system (stomach, intestines);
  • A bladder obstruction or any other urination problem;
  • High blood pressure, heart disease
  • Glaucoma;
  • Diabetes
  • Overactive thyroid.

Inform your doctor that you are expecting.Breastfeeding is not recommended.

How to take Resperal-DM Drops?

Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Do not give this medicine to children unless you have read and understood the instructions. Never use this medicine to put a child to sleep.Use the measuring device provided to measure liquid medicines (not a spoon).If your symptoms don't improve within 7 days or you experience a headache, fever, or rash, then call your doctor.Tell your doctor if you've taken this medication within the last few days if you are going to need surgery or medical testing.Store tightly closed, at room temperature, and away from moisture or heat.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Resperal-DM drops are used as needed. You can skip any missed dose if you have a regular dosing schedule. Never use two doses in one go.Take no more than six doses per 24 hours.

What happens if I overdose?

For poison assistance, call 1-800-222-1222 or get immediate medical help.Overdose symptoms can include depression, restlessness or rapid heartbeats.

What should be avoided?

Before taking any other cold or cough medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist if they contain similar ingredients.Do not drive or engage in hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you. You may be unable to react properly.Exercise in hot weather and avoid overheating.This medication can reduce sweating, and you could be more susceptible to heat stroke.Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication.
