What is Anusol-HC?
Anusol-HC (for the skin) is a steroid that is used to reduce the inflammation and itching caused by skin disorders that respond to steroid medications.There are a variety of kinds and brands of hydrocortisone topicals that are available. Some brands are not included in this leaflet.Anusol-HC can also be used for other purposes that are not mentioned in this guideline.
Side effects of Anusol-HC
See a doctor immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, or tongue.
AnusolHC could cause serious adverse side effects. Consult a medical provider immediately if you experience:
- An increase in the severity of your skin conditions;
- Redness, warmth, swelling, ousting, or extreme irritation to any skin treatment;
- Blood sugar levels are high—increased thirst, more frequent urine output, dry mouth, and a breath smell that is fruity
- Potential signs of absorption of anusol-hc through your skin, such as weight gain (especially on your face or your torso and upper back). Slow healing of wounds, thin or discoloured skin, an increase in muscle weakness, sickness, diarrhoea, fatigue, mood swings, and menstrual changes

Before you take this drug
It is not recommended to take Anusol-HC if you are sensitive to it.
Speak to your doctor if were ever diagnosed with:
- Any kind of skin disease;
- The skin reacts to any drug steroid;
- The liver condition
- An adrenal gland disorder of the adrenal gland.
Steroids can boost levels of glucose (sugar) in the urine or blood. Consult a medical provider immediately if you suspect diabetes.Do not give Anusol-HC to children younger than two years old without medical guidance.Consult a physician before taking this medication if you are breastfeeding or pregnant.If you apply an application of Anusol-HC to your chest, stay clear of the areas that could come into contact with your baby's mouth.
How to take Anusol-HC?
Follow exactly the instructions on the label or as directed by your doctor.Do not chew it. The topical medication is intended to be used only on the skin.Be sure to read and adhere to any instructions that are included in your medication. Consult your physician or pharmacist for clarification if you are unsure of the instructions.Wash your hands thoroughly before and after you use hydrocortisone in the event that you are not using this treatment to treat your skin.Use a light layer of cream on the affected skin and gently rub it into the skin. Do not apply this medication to a large area of your skin unless a doctor has instructed you to.Do not cover the affected skin region with a bandage or other cover-up unless you are advised by your doctor to. Covering the area treated can boost the quantity of medication in your skin and could cause adverse consequences.Shake the hydrocortisone cream as well. Spay it well prior to every use.If you're dealing with the area around your diaper with plastic, don't use diapers or tight-fitting ones.Stop taking hydrocortisone and contact your physician if your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse in the space of seven days.Storage at room temperature is far from heat and moisture. Don't freeze. Close the bottle when not being used.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Apply the medicine as fast as you can; however, avoid the missed dose if you think it is getting close to the time of the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.
What happens if I overdose?
For medical emergencies, seek emergency treatment or contact the poison help line at 1-800-222-1222 in the event that anyone has swallowed the medicine accidentally.Long-term use or high doses of anusol-HC could cause thin skin, easy bruising, shifts in the body's fat (especially around the neck, face back, waist, and face), a rise in facial hair or acne, menstrual issues, impotence, or a decrease in desire to have sex.
What should be avoided?
Don't use Anusol-HC in the treatment of any skin issue that hasn't been examined by your physician.Don't get Anusol-HC in your eye. If contact does occur, clean your eyes with water.
Interaction with other drug
Skin care products will not be affected by any other medications you take. However, many medications can interfere with each other.
