What is Soothe regular strength?

Regular strength relieves nausea, heartburn, indigestion, or gas. This medication guide does not list all possible uses for Soothe Regular Strength.

Side effects of Soothe regular strength

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, swelling in your face, lips, or throat, or hives.

It is possible that regular strength can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Changes in behavior when nausea and vomiting occur
  • Ringing or hearing loss
  • If you have diarrhea that lasts more than two days, then it is important to seek medical attention.
  • Worsening stomach symptoms

You may develop a darkened or blackened tongue after using Soothe Regular Strength. This is an innocuous side effect.

Side effects that are common include:

  • Constipation
  • Dark-colored stools

Warnings

If you have a bleeding problem, an ulcer, or blood in your stool, you should not take Soothe Regular Strength.

This medicine can be used in children or teens with flu symptoms or chickenpox. It may cause Reye’s syndrome.

Before you take this drug

If you are allergic or have any of the following:

  • Black or bloody stools
  • Stomach ulcer;
  • Bleeding problems
  • If you have an allergy to salicylates, such as Doan's, Salflex, Tricosal, and others,

This medicine can cause a fatal or serious condition known as Reye's syndrome in children or teens with flu or chickenpox symptoms.

If you or someone in your family has:

  • You may have mucus in your stools.
  • If you have a fever,

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing. Children younger than 12 should never take this medicine without first consulting their physician. This medicine could contain phenylalanine, which is harmful to people with phenylketonuria.

How to take Soothe Regular Strength?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Shake the suspension. Use the measuring device provided (not a spoon) to measure a dose. The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed.

Take Soothe Regular Strength with plenty of fluids. If you take more than the recommended dosage, Soothe Regular Strength will not be more effective and can cause serious side effects.

If you continue to have diarrhea even after two days, call your doctor. It can interfere with certain medical tests. Tell your doctor that you use Soothe Regular Strength. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss the dose?

When needed, regular strength is used. You can skip any missed dose if you have a regular dosing regimen. Never use two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

Consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to taking any other antacids, diarrhea medicines, or medicines that contain salicylate. (such as aspirin salicylate, magnesium salicylate, choline, diflunisal Ecotrin, tricosal trilisate, and others).

Interaction with other drug

Before using Soothe Regular Strength with other medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Arthritis medication
  • Gout medication;
  • Insulin or oral diabetes medication;
  • A blood thinner: warfarin Coumadin Jantoven
