What is Slow-mag?

Magnesium and calcium are minerals that occur naturally. Calcium is necessary for bone maintenance and formation. Magnesium is essential for muscle function and heart rhythm.

Slow-mag is used as a dietary supplement. Slow-mag can be given when you don't get enough minerals in your diet or if they are lost by perspiration. Slow-mag can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of Slow-mag

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

Slow-mag can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • The symptoms of nausea include vomiting, loss of appetite, thirst, or increased urination.
  • Muscle pain, or weakness joint pain.
  • Feeling tired or restless is a common feeling of confusion.
  • A slow heartbeat, feeling drowsy.

Side effects of slow mag may include:

  • Diarrhea;
  • Constipation
  • Upset stomach.

Before you take this drug

Slow-mag should not be used if you've ever experienced an allergic reaction after taking an antacid, vitamin, or mineral supplement that contained calcium carbonate and magnesium chloride.

If you suffer from:

  • Kidney disease
  • A history of renal stones
  • Heart disease
  • A blockage in the intestines.

Pregnancy or breastfeeding may necessitate different dosage requirements.

How to take Slow-mag?

Be sure to follow any instructions provided on the label or by your physician. Do not chew or crush the tablet. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if i miss the dose?

Slow-mag can be used as needed, and you don't need to follow a schedule. If it is almost time for the next dose, any missed ones should be skipped.never take two doses in one go.

What happens if i overdose?

What should be avoided?

Take slow-mag only if you are taking no other medications.

Interaction with other drug

Calcium carbonate may make certain drugs less effective by making it difficult for the body to absorb them. Take your slow-mag 2 hours before taking other medications or 2 hours after.

Notify your doctor of any additional medications taken, including:

  • Anti-biotic
  • Heart or blood pressure medication;
  • Medicine to treat osteoporosis and paget’s disease (of the bone): actonel boniva, fosamax reclast zometa
