What is Sinutab non-drying?

Sinutab non-drying contains a combination of medicines that are used by adults and children for the treatment of allergy symptoms such as sneezing or runny noses, watery eyes and itching, mucusy coughs, sinus pain, and chest congestion due to the common flu or allergies.

This leaflet does not list all the brands of pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin. Sinutab non-drying can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Sinutab non-drying

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, swelling in your face, lips, or throat, or hives.

Sinutab non-drying can cause serious side effects. Sinutab non-drying should be stopped immediately, and you should consult your doctor if:

  • Nervousness, dizziness, and sleep problems (insomnia).

Warnings

Sinutab non-drying should not be used if mao inhibitors have been taken within the last 14 days. Drug interactions may occur. Mao inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.

Sinutab non-drying will not be more effective if you take more than the recommended dosage. It may also cause serious side effects.

Before you take this drug

Sinutab non-drying should not be used if mao inhibitors have been taken in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. Mao inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.

Inform your physician of any of the following issues:

  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes;
  • A thyroid disorder
  • Urination problems caused by an enlarged prostate
  • Chronic cough is caused by smoking, copd, chronic obstructive lung disease (copd), or another breathing disorder.

Inform your physician if you are pregnant or nursing. Do not give this medicine without first consulting with a doctor.

How to take Sinutab non-drying?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time. Sinutab non-drying should be administered to children according to the instructions. Never use this medicine to put a child to sleep. If you take more than the recommended dosage, this medication will not be as effective and can cause serious side effects.

Use the measuring device provided to measure liquid medicines (not a spoon). Do not chew or crush the extended-release tablet. Take it with water. If you change the brand, strength, or form of a medicine, your dose requirements may be different. Use the medication exactly as prescribed by your physician or on the label.

If your symptoms don't improve or worsen after seven days, or you have headaches, a rash, or a fever, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if i miss the dose?

Sinutab non-drying can be used as needed. You can skip any missed dose if you have a regular dosing schedule. Never use two doses in one go.

What happens if i overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

Before taking any other cold or cough medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist if they contain similar ingredients.

Interaction with other drug

Before taking any other medications that may cause sleepiness, such as opioids, muscle relaxers, sleep medication, medicine for anxiety, or seizure medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you take. Included are prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. This list does not include all possible interactions.
