What is RyClora?

RyClora, an antihistamine, is used to treat allergies, hay flu, and the common cold. RyClora can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of RyClora

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or any form of swelling on lips, face, tongue or throat - seek medical assistance immediately!

RyClora may cause serious side effects. RyClora should be stopped immediately, and you should consult your doctor if:

  • Extreme sleepiness
  • Confusion, hallucinations;
  • Feeling nervous, restless, or dizzy
  • A seizure;
  • Little or no urination.

In older adults, side effects like dryness of the mouth and constipation may be more common.

Some of the common side effects associated with ryclora include:

  • Drowsiness;
  • Blurred vision
  • Constipation;
  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly sensation);
  • Dry mouth, nose, or throat
  • Feeling restless or excited, especially in children.

There may be other side effects. Call your doctor immediately if experiencing side effects; alternatively, for reporting purposes contact the FDA on 1-800-FDA-1088 and report potential incidents.

Warnings

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have health issues, or take other medications or drugs, you should consult a doctor before taking RyClora. Never use allergy or cold medicine to put a child to sleep.

Before you take this drug

RyClora should not be used if:

  • Hypertension that is uncontrolled or severe
  • Severe coronary heart disease;
  • A stomach ulcer
  • Narrow-angle glaucoma;
  • If you're unable to urinate,
  • If you have an asthma attack,

Ryclora should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, rasagiline, and selegiline.

If you suffer from:

  • Breathing problems
  • A bladder obstruction or any other urination problem;
  • An enlarged prostrate
  • A stomach ulcer;
  • A blockage of your digestive tract, such as the stomach or intestines;
  • Glaucoma;
  • High blood pressure;
  • A thyroid disorder
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Diabetes
  • Seizures.

Before taking this medication during your pregnancy or nursing period, consult your healthcare provider first. This medication may contain phenylalanine. If you have phenylketonuria, check the label of your medication.

How to take RyClora?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Follow the directions on a medicine label when giving a child a cold or allergies. Never use medicine to put a child to sleep. Measuring liquid medicine is important. Use the provided dosing device or a dose-measuring tool (not a spoon) to measure liquid medicine. If your symptoms don't improve within 7 days or you have a high fever, call your doctor. Tell your surgeon that you use RyClora if you require surgery. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You may not have a regular dosing regimen, as cold and allergy medication is taken when necessary. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed dose. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

RyClora can affect your reaction to driving and other hazardous activities. You may be unable to react. Before using any other allergy or cold medicines, or even those that contain similar ingredients, consult your doctor. Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication. Avoid overheating during exercise or in hot weather. While taking antihistamines, you may be more susceptible to heat stroke.

Interaction with other drug

This medicine should not be taken with any other medications that can cause drowsiness, slow breathing, or anxiety (such as an opioid, muscle relaxer, or medication for anxiety).
