Robitussin is used to treat severe congestion in children and adults. It treats symptoms of allergies, such as a runny nose or stuffy nose. Side Effects of Robitussin Severe Congestion
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, swelling in your face, lips, or throat, or hives.
Robitussin for severe congestion may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor immediately if:
- Nervousness, dizziness, and sleep problems (insomnia).

Warnings
If you've taken an mao inhibitor within the last 14 days, do not take robitussin severe cough. Drug interactions may occur. Mao inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine, and tranylcypromine. Robitussin for severe constipation will not be more effective if you take more than the recommended dosage. It may also cause serious side effects.
Before you take this drug
Use robitussin severe constipation only if you've used mao inhibitors in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. Mao inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.
Inform your physician of any of the following issues:
- heart disease
- high blood pressure
- diabetes;
- A thyroid disorder
- prostatic hypertrophy can cause urination issues.
- Cough with mucus, or chronic cough caused by smoking, asthma, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd).
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing. Do not administer this medicine to an infant without consulting a doctor.
How to take Robitussin Severe Constipation?
Please adhere to the instructions listed on your label or those prescribed by your healthcare provider. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time. When giving Robitussin for severe constipation to a child, follow all instructions. Never use this medicine to put a child to sleep. If you take more than the recommended dosage, this medication will not be as effective and can cause serious side effects. Use the measuring device provided to measure liquid medicines (not a spoon). Do not chew or crush the extended-release tablet. Take it with water. If you change the brand, strength, or form of a medicine, your dose requirements may be different. Use the medication exactly as prescribed by your physician or on the label. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen after 7 days or you have a headache, rash, or fever, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Robitussin is taken when necessary. You should not take any missed doses if you have a regular dosing regimen. Never use two doses in one go.

Interaction with other drug
