What is Rhinocort?
Rhinocort aqua nasal spray contains budesonide (a corticosteroid). It stops the release of substances that can cause inflammation in the body.rhinocort aqua nasal spray is a prescription medication used to treat nasal congestion, sneezing, and itchy or runny eyes caused by seasonal allergies and year-round allergy symptoms in adults and children aged 6 years and older.children under the age of 6 have not been tested for safety or effectiveness.
Warnings
Tell your doctor before using rhinocort aqua if you've been sick or have had an infection. Tell your doctor if your nose is sore or has ulcers. Also, tell them if your liver is sick, if you have glaucoma, cataracts, herpes infection in the eyes, or tuberculosis.rhinocort aqua may take two weeks to improve your symptoms. To get the best results, use the medication according to the instructions. If your symptoms don't improve after one week, talk to your doctor.budesonide lowers the blood cells, which help fight infection. Avoid people who are ill or infected. If you have been exposed to measles or chicken pox, call your doctor immediately for preventive treatment. Rhinocort users are at risk of serious or even fatal conditions.avoid getting rhinocort aqua into your eyes. Rinse your eyes with water and contact your doctor if this happens.steroids can have an impact on the growth of children. Before you take this drug
If you have an allergy to budesonide, then you should avoid using it.
If you have had any of the following:
- glaucoma (now or previously);
- A weak immune system, caused by illness or certain medications.
- Sores or ulcers on the inside of your nose
- If your eyes have an infection, treatment could include antibiotics to heal it quickly and successfully.
- If you've recently had surgery or a nose injury,

How to take Rhinocort?
Follow the directions on your prescription label to use rhinocort. Please follow all the instructions on the prescription label. Your doctor may change your dosage from time to time in order to get you the best results. Use this medication only as directed. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use it for longer.rhinocort aqua should be sprayed into each nostril once per day. Adults and children are usually given 1 to 4 sprays each. Follow your doctor's instructions for dosage.before your first use, prime the rhinocort aqua nasal spray. Shake well, and then pump 8 sprays in the air away from your face. The spray should be pumped until it produces a fine mist. If the inhaler is not used for more than two days or has been dropped, prime it again.before each use, shake the nasal spray bottle.
How to use rhinocort aqua nasal spray
- Blow gently with your nose. Insert the tip of the bottle in one nostril while keeping your head up. Close the other nostril with your finger. Inhale quickly and spray the medicine gently into your nose. Use the spray on your other nostril.
- After using nasal spray, do not blow your nose.
- Use the rhinocort aqua nasal spray no more than once a day.
- If you spray the spray in your mouth or eyes, rinse it with water.
- Rinse the nasal spray applicator if it hasn't been used in more than 14 days. Prime with two test sprays.

Details on dosage
Adult dose for allergic rhinitis,
Once a day, 64 mcg per nostril (32 mcg).
Maximum dose: 4 sprays of 256 mcg/day per nostril, once per day.
The usual pediatric dose for allergic rhinitis is:
Six years and older
once a day, 64 mcg per nostril (32 mcg).
Maximum dose: for children aged 6–12 years, 128 mcg is administered twice daily as two sprays in each nostril. Children 12 years of age and older receive 256 mg administered four times per nostril.
Comments:
to reduce the risk of side effects, it is best to adjust the dosage to the lowest effective dose for each patient.
When the maximum benefit is reached and the symptoms are controlled, reducing dosage can be an effective way to maintain control of allergic rhinitis in patients who had been controlled with higher dosages.
Use: treating seasonal or persistent allergic rhinitis among adults and children aged 6 years and older.
What happens if i miss the dose?
As soon as you realize, take your missed dose immediately; if your next scheduled dosage is approaching quickly, skip taking any extra.
What happens if i overdose?
Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.overdoses of budesonide are unlikely to cause life-threatening symptoms. Long-term use of high doses of steroids can cause symptoms like thinning of the skin, bruising easily, changes in body shape and location (especially on your neck, back, face, and waist), acne, facial hair growth, impotence, or a loss of interest in sexual activity.
What should be avoided?
Avoid being around people who are sick. If you notice any signs of an infection, tell your doctor immediately.
Side effects of Rhinocort
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat, contact emergency medical assistance immediately.
If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop using rhinocort aqua immediately and contact your doctor.
- Do not come into contact with anyone who is ill with chickenpox, measles, or tuberculosis.
- Nosebleeds that are severe or persistent
- Vision problems or other eye disorders
- Flu symptoms include fever, chills, and body aches.

Interaction with other drug
