What is Mirapex ER?
Mirapex ER exhibits similar results as the chemical dopamine that is naturally present within the body. Dopamine levels that are low in the brain can be linked to Parkinson's disease.
Mirapex ER is used to combat symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease (stiffness and tremors, as well as muscle spasms and weak motor control). The medication is also utilized for treating Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS).
The only immediately-released Mirapex ER (Mirapex) is accepted to treat Parkinson's disease or RLS. The extended-release version of this drug (Mirapex ER) is only approved for treating Parkinson symptoms.

Side Effects of Mirapex ER

Before you take this drug
Do not take Mirapex ER if you are sensitive to it.
If you have experienced:

How to take Mirapex ER?

The timing and dosage of pramipexole to treat Parkinson's disease differ from the timing and dosage of pramipexole for the treatment of RLS. Mirapex ER is a prescription medication that can be used in combination with or without eating. It is recommended to take the medication in conjunction with food if it causes upset in the stomach.
Avoid crushing, chewing, or breaking an extended-release tablet (Mirapex Extended Release). Suck it up completely.
If you're on this medicine for RLS, Inform your doctor in the event that your symptoms worsen when they happen at a different time in the morning or later than normal during the night, or if you notice uncomfortable symptoms that are not your own on your arms or hands.

What should be avoided?
Avoid drinking or consuming alcohol. Dangerous side effects may occur when alcohol consumption is mixed with Mirapex ER.
Beware of driving and other hazardous activities until you understand how Mirapex ER will affect you. It is possible that your reactions will be affected. Do not get up too quickly from lying in a position. You could faint.
Interaction with other drug
Utilizing Mirapex ER with other drugs that cause drowsiness can increase the severity of this side effect. Talk to your doctor prior to using an opioid drug, sleeping medication, relaxation medication, or a medicine to treat seizures or anxiety.
Inform your physician about any other medications you take, particularly:
- Cimetidine;
- Metoclopramide;
- Medications to treat mental disorders, treatments for mental illness, like chlorpromazine dropseridol, fluphenazine and haloperidol, perphenazine, prochlorperazine, thioridazine, and more.
