What is Milantex?
Milantex, also known as a mixture medicine, is used to treat acid reflux, stomach upset, and bloating due to gas or discomfort in the stomach caused by excessive eating or drinking. This medication guide does not list all possible uses of Milantex.
Side effects of Milantex
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergy reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling in your lips, face, throat, or tongue.
The side effects of this medicine can be serious. If you experience:
- Bone pain and muscle weakness
- Confusion, changes to your mental state and seizures (convulsions).
- Pale skin, lightheadedness, or feeling short of breath. Rapid heart rate.

Before you take this drug
This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide.

Consult your doctor if you're pregnant or nursing before taking this medication. Under no circumstances should this medication be given to children younger than 12 without consulting with a physician first.
How to take Milantex?
Follow the instructions on the packaging or those prescribed by your physician. The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed. Before measuring a dosage, shake the orally suspended liquid. You can use the provided dosing cups or a dose-measuring device. Take no more than is recommended by the label. This medicine should not be taken at the maximum dosage for more than two weeks. A short-term antacid will usually be taken until the symptoms disappear. If symptoms do not improve within two weeks, consult your healthcare provider immediately. Keep away from heat and moisture. Liquid medicines should not be allowed to freeze.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Milantex can be used as needed, and you don't need to follow a schedule. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip any missed doses. Never take two doses in one go.
