What is Medikoff?

Medikoff is used for temporary relief of coughs caused by a cold or minor irritation, as well as sore necks, among adults and children over the age of 5. Medikoff can be used in other ways not mentioned in this medication guide.

Side effects of Medikoff

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or swelling on lips, face throat or tongue Your symptoms could range from being milder or nonexistent altogether. There may be other side effects; to seek medical advice about any, call your physician; alternatively, contact the FDA's side effects reporting office at 1-800-FDA-1088 if any arise.

Before you take this drug

Medikoff should not be used if you have an allergy to menthol.

Have You Suffered from Any of These Disorders:

  • Cough with mucus
  • Cough caused by tobacco or asthma.
  • Sore throat and breathing problems lasting more than two days

Before taking this medication if you are pregnant or nursing, always consult with a healthcare provider first. Do not give this medication without first consulting with a physician.

How to take Medikoff?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Let the Medikoff dissolve in your mouth without chewing. Medikoff can be used as often as every 2 hours. Changes to brand, strength or form of medication could alter dosage requirements; please follow all label instructions or speak with a healthcare provider if applicable for optimal use of your medications. If your sore or persistent throat lasts more than two days and is accompanied by other symptoms like fever or skin rashes, nausea vomiting, headache, or any type of abdominal discomfort it is time to consult your physician. If cough symptoms do not improve within 7 days stop using products intended to alleviate them and contact a healthcare provider directly for medical advice. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Medikoff can be used as needed. You should not take any missed doses if you have a regular dosing regimen. Never use two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

If your doctor prescribes any restrictions regarding food, beverage, or activity, follow their instructions.

Interaction with other drug

Medikoff may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your doctor of all the other medications you take.
