What is Luliconazole topical?

Luliconazole is a topical antifungal that treats infections caused by fungus.Topical liconazole (for the skin) is used for treating athlete's foot, tinea pedicis or jock itch, and tinea creuris in adults and children over 12 years of age.Topical luliconazole is used to treat ringworm in adults and children older than 2 years.Luliconazole topical can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of Luliconazole topical

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat.If you experience severe burning, redness, or swelling after using the medicine, call your doctor immediately.Some side effects include mild irritation of the skin where the medication was applied.There may be other side effects. Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to luliconazole, do not use it.The safety of luliconazole is unknown. Inform your physician as soon as you become pregnant or intend to become pregnant.You may not be able to breastfeed your baby while taking this medication. You should ask your doctor if there are any risks.Anyone younger than 18 is not allowed to use the topical liconazole.

How to take Luliconazole topical?

Simply read all of the labels or instructions included with your medication and follow all directions given on it. Follow the directions on the label.Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines are only to be used on the skin.For 2 weeks, apply the medication to the affected area and the nearby skin.For jock itch and ringworm, apply the medication to the affected area as well as the surrounding skin every day for a week.Only apply a thin layer to the affected areas. Spread the medicine on the skin around the affected area by about an inch.After using this medication, wash your hands.This medication should not be shared with anyone else, even if the other person has similar symptoms.Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

Details on dosage

Adult dose for Tinea Pedis:

Once a day, for two weeks, apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area as well as the area surrounding it by about an inch.
Use: Topical treatment for interdigital tinea pedicis caused by Trichophyton rubrum or Epidermophyton flaccosum

Adult dose for Tinea Corporis:

Apply the cream to the affected area and the area around it (about 1 inch) every day for a week.
Uses: Topical treatment for tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and eczema due to T. rubrum or E. floccosum

Adult dose for Tinea cruris:

Apply the cream to the affected area and the area around it (about 1 inch) every day for a week.
Uses: Topical treatment for tinea corporis and tinea rubrum due to T. rubrum and E. floccosum

The usual paediatric dose for Tinea Pedis is:

Apply a thin coating to the affected area and the surrounding area (s) of about 1 inch once daily for two weeks.
Use: Topical treatment for interdigital tinea pedicis caused by T. rubrum or E. floccosum

Usual paediatric dose for Tinea Cruris:

Apply the cream to the affected area and the surrounding area (about 1 inch) every day for a week.
Uses: Topical treatment for tinea crauris caused by T. rubrum or E. floccosum

The usual paediatric dose for Tinea Corporis

From 2 to 18 years old: Apply the cream to the affected area and the surrounding area (about 1 inch) every day for a week.
Uses: Topical treatment for tinea corporis caused by T. rubrum or E. floccosum

What happens if I miss the dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip any that was missed and wait. Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.

What should be avoided?

Avoid getting the topical luliconazole in your mouth, eyes, or vagina.

Interaction with other drug
