What is Lagicam?

Miconazole is an antifungal medication. It stops fungus from growing.Lagicam treats vaginal yeast infections (candida).Lagicam can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Lagicam

If you experience symptoms indicative of an allergic reaction, seek medical care immediately: hives, difficulty breathing and swelling of lips, face, tongue or throat.

Lagicam can cause the following side effects:

  • Mild burning or itching
  • Skin irritation around the vaginal area
  • Urinating more than usual

Before you take this drug

Consult your doctor if this is the very first time you've ever experienced symptoms of vaginal fungus.If you've ever experienced an allergic reaction, then it is best to avoid using Lagicam.

Tell your doctor about any of the following to ensure that Lagicam will be safe for you:

  • A virus.
  • Abdominal pain
  • Foul-smelling discharge,
  • Diabetes
  • HIV or AIDS.

If you are pregnant, do not use Lagicam unless your doctor has prescribed it.If you are breastfeeding a child, do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor.

How to take Lagicam?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it.This medicine should not be taken by mouth. This medicine is only to be used in the vagina.After using Lagicam, wash your hands.Use the applicator to insert the tablet, cream, or suppository into the vagina.Use a sanitary towel to avoid the medication staining your clothes. Do not use a tampon.Even during your period, take the medication as prescribed. You may experience symptom improvement before the infection has completely cleared. You may increase your chances of getting a resistant infection if you skip doses.Consult your doctor if the infection persists after a course of treatment or appears to worsen. Are You Suffering From an Infection?? You could possibly have one or more types of infections.If you accidentally get this medication in your eyes, wash them with water.Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as you recall, apply the missed dose. If it's almost time for your next dose, you can skip the missed dose and only apply the next regular dose. This medication should not be taken in double doses.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses of Lagicam are unlikely. You should contact a poison centre or an emergency room if you suspect that Lagicam was ingested in a larger dose than usual.

What should be avoided?

Wear loose-fitting clothing made of cotton or other natural fibers. Wear loose-fitting cotton or other natural fibre clothing until the infection has healed.Miconazole can damage a diaphragm or condom. While using Lagicam, use another form of contraception.

Interaction with other drug

Miconazole applied vaginally is unlikely to interact with other drugs taken orally or injected. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare providers of all medications you take, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
