What is Incruse ellipta?

Incruse ellipta, an anticholinergic, works by relaxing the muscles in the airways.in adults with chronic obstructive lung disease (bronchitis, emphysema), incruse ellipta can be used to reduce flare-ups and prevent airflow obstruction.incruse ellipta should only be used in the treatment of copd. This product is not intended for treating asthma.

Warnings

Incruse ellipta should not be used if you have an extreme allergy to milk protein or umeclidinium.

Incruse ellipta does not work as a rescue medication. This medicine will not treat bronchospasm attacks quickly enough. Only use a quick-acting inhalation medication for an attack.seek medical help if you have breathing problems that do not improve or if they worsen quickly.

Before you take this drug

Incruse ellipta should not be used if:

  • A severe allergy to the milk proteins.

Tell your doctor about any of the following to ensure that incruse ellipta will be safe for you:

  • Glaucoma;
  • Heart disease
  • An enlarged prostate
  • Urination problems.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.incruse ellipta cannot be used by anyone under the age of 18.

How to take Incruse ellipta?

Follow the instructions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Read all the instructions on the prescription label.incruse ellipta comes in powder form and is pre-loaded into a special device that contains blister packs with measured doses. Each time you use your inhaler, the device will open and load a blister containing powdered medicine. Follow the instructions included with your inhaler.

One inhalation is the usual daily dose. The medicine should be used at the same time every day and no more than once within a 24-hour period.incruseellipta will not treat bronchospasm fast enough. Only use a rapid-acting inhalation medication for an attack. If your copd symptoms seem to be getting worse, tell your doctor.even if you are feeling fine, do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Never attempt to disassemble or clean the inhaler. Use the new inhaler provided with each refill.store away from heat, moisture, and light. Store the inhaler device inside the foil tray until you are ready to use it.inhalers should be thrown away six weeks after they are opened or when the dose indicator shows zero (whichever occurs first).

Details on dosage

Adult dose for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease—maintenance:

Oral inhalation of 62.5 mcg once per day
maximum dose: 1 inhalation every 24 hours.
Use: treatment for airflow obstruction among patients with copd, including chronic lung disease or emphysema

What happens if i miss the dose?

If you are almost due for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Never take two doses in one go. Use no more than one dose in a 24-hour period.

What should be avoided?

Avoid using a second inhaled inhaler that contains salmeterol, tiotropium, or vilanterol.if your doctor prescribes any restrictions regarding food, beverage, or activity, follow their instructions.

Side effects of incruse ellipta

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction: hives; severe itching; difficulty breathing; swelling in your face, lips, or throat; or hives, get emergency medical attention.

If you experience:

  • If you experience wheezing or other breathing problems, discontinue use of this medication.
  • Blurred vision, nausea or vomiting; eye pain; redness; or seeing bright colors around lights
  • Urinating more frequently or with difficulty or pain can be a sign of painful or difficult urination.

Side effects of incruse ellipta include:

  • Cold symptoms like a stuffy nose and sneezing, a sore neck, or a cough;
  • Fast or irregular heartbeats
  • Bruising, darkened skin;
  • Mouth pain and tooth pain
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Stomach pain;
  • Changes in taste

Interaction with other drug

Tell your doctor about your other medications, including:

  • Atropine;
  • Medicine to treat depression or anxiety;
  • Cold or allergy medication (benadryl and others);

  • Medicine to treat stomach problems, motion sickness, or irritable bowel syndrome
  • Medicine to treat overactive urinary bladder
  • Another bronchodilator drug
