What is the Inclisiran?
Inclisiran helps the liver reduce the amount of "bad" (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) cholesterol circulating in your body.
Inclisiran can be used in conjunction with a low-fat diet and other medications to lower cholesterol levels among adults who have heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Inclisiran is used in conjunction with a low-fat diet and other cholesterol-lowering medications for adults who have heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (inherited types of"high cholesterol).
Inclisiran can also be used by adults with atherosclerotic cardiomyopathy (ASCVD) who need to lower their LDL cholesterol further.Inclisiran can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.
Inclisiran side effects
If you experience any of the following: hives; severe itching; difficulty breathing; swelling in your face, lips, or throat;
Inclisiran may cause serious side effects. If you experience:
- You may experience pain and burning after urinating.
Inclisiran can cause the following side effects:
- Redness, pain, or bruising at the site of injection;
- Pain in the legs and arms
- Diarrhea;
- Bronchitis.
- Joint Pain
- You may experience pain and burning after urinating.

Warnings
Do not use it other than as directed. Inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking or if you have allergies or other medical conditions.
Before you take this drug

- Severe liver disease or end-stage renal disease.

Breastfeeding while using inclisiran may not be recommended. Consult your doctor if there are any risks.Ask your doctor if you can safely breastfeed while taking this medication.This product is not for use by anyone under 18 years old.
How to take Inclisiran?
Inclisiran injections are given under the skin. This injection will be given by a healthcare provider.Do not stop using inclisiran before consulting your doctor, as your LDL cholesterol level may rise.Inclisiran forms part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes diet, statin medications, and regular blood tests. You should follow your doctor's advice.
Details on dosage
Adult dose for hyperlipidemia:
Initial dose: subcutaneously, 284 mg once. Repeat in 3 months.
Maintenance dose: 284 mg subcutaneously once every six months after the initial dose
Comments:
Limitations: This drug has not been proven to have any effect on cardiovascular morbidity or mortality.
The LDL-lowering effects of this drug can be measured up to 30 days after starting the treatment and at any time thereafter, without regard to when the dose was taken.
Use: As a supplement to maximally tolerated statins and diet for patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or those with clinical atherosclerotic heart disease who need additional LDL cholesterol lowering.

If you are unable to attend your appointment for the inclisiran shot, call your doctor.
What happens if I overdose?
In a medical setting, an overdose is treated immediately.
What should be avoided?
If your doctor prescribes any restrictions regarding food, beverage, or activity, follow their instructions.
Interaction with other drug
Inclisiran may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your doctor of all the other medications you take.
