Side effects of Improvue
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
If you experience:
- After using the medication, you may experience severe eye irritation, burning, or stinging.
- Eye pain
- Vision changes
Improvue side effects may include:
- Mild eye irritation or burning;
- Itching or redness in your eyes
- Watery eyes
- Blurred vision
- Light sensitivity

Warnings
Improvue should not be used to treat or prevent eye infections.

Before you take this drug
Improvue should not be used if you have an allergy to it. The medicine does not prevent or treat an eye infection.
If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether it's safe to use improvue.Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.
How to take improvue?
Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Before using improvue, wash your hands.If the medication looks cloudy or its color has changed, do not use improvue. Call your pharmacist.
Avoid touching the tip or placing it directly on your eye. The tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube can cause serious vision problems if it is contaminated.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while using improvue, call your doctor.Store at room temperature, away from heat or moisture.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Improvue can be used as needed. You can skip missed doses if you have a schedule. Never use two doses in one go.
What happens if I overdose?
Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the Poison Help Line for immediate medical attention.
What should be avoided?
Improvue can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you.You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine used on your eyes. Many drugs interact. Tell your doctor all the medications you are taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
