What is Hyskon (High Molecular Weight)?

Hyskon High-molecular Weight is a natural source of glucose. It restores blood plasma that has been lost due to severe bleeding. Severe blood loss can cause organ failure, brain injury, coma, and even death. Plasma is required to circulate the red blood cells, which deliver oxygen throughout your body.Hyskon can be used to treat hypovolemia, which is a decrease in the volume of blood plasma circulating. This condition may result from surgery, severe injuries, or burns.Hyskon can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Hyskon (High-molecular-weight)

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention: hives, skin rash, stuffy nose, coughing, or chest tightness.

If you:

  • Breathing that is shallow or weak
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.

Hyskon side effects may include:

  • Nausea, vomiting;
  • Joint pain
  • Virus
  • Pain, swelling or bruising at the site of injection.

This medication should not be taken if you suffer from severe kidney disease or severe congestive heart failure.

Before you take this drug

This medication should not be given to you if you are hypersensitive to or allergic to Hyskon.

  • Severe kidney disease
  • Severe congestive heart failure;
  • Uncontrolled bleeding

Tell your doctor, if possible, before receiving Hyskon if you:

  • Liver or kidney disease
  • A bleeding disorder or blood clotting problem such as hemophilia or thrombocytopenic purpura (easy bleeding or bruising);
  • Heart disease fluid retention
  • Asthma, or breathing problems
  • Diabetes;
  • Epilepsy, seizures, or migraine headaches;
  • A stomach or intestinal disorder.
  • A food or drug allergic reaction
  • If you're on a diet low in salt,

It may not be possible in an emergency to inform your caregivers of your medical conditions. Be sure that any doctor who treats you in the future knows about this medication.FDA pregnancy class C There is no information on whether Hyskon, with its high molecular weight, will harm a baby. If you're pregnant, tell your doctor.There is no way to know if high-molecular-weight dextran can pass into breast milk or if it will harm a baby who is nursing. You should tell your doctor if your baby is breastfed.It may not be possible in an emergency to inform your caregivers that you are breastfeeding or pregnant. Be sure to tell any doctor who is caring for you or your child that you've received this medication.

How to take Hyskon (high-molecular-weight) x?

This medicine is administered intravenously. This injection will be given by a healthcare provider.If you experience any pain or swelling when medicine is injected, tell your caregivers.While you receive high-molecular-weight Hyskon, your breathing, blood pressure, and oxygen levels will be closely monitored. Your kidney function, as well as other vital signs, will also be closely monitored. You will need to have your blood tested every day during treatment. You may also require chest x-rays.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You are unlikely to miss a dosage because you will be receiving Hyskon in a clinical environment.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses are unlikely because this medication is administered by a health professional in a medical environment.

What should be avoided?

If your doctor prescribes any restrictions regarding food, beverage, or activity, follow their instructions.

Interaction with other drug

Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines or if you will stop taking them during treatment with Hyskon high molecular weight.
