What is Hemmorex HC?

Hemmorex HC is a steroid medicine used to temporarily relieve itching and swelling caused by hemorrhoids.Hemmorex HC can also be used in conjunction with other medications to treat ulcerative colitis.Hemmorex HC can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Hemmorex-HC

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

Hemmorex HC can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • If you have severe pain in your rectum or if it is burning, there may be bleeding.
  • New or worsening rectal irritation
  • Fever, or other symptoms of infection.
  • Headaches, ringing ears, and pain behind the eyes

Hemmorex HC side effects may include:

  • Itching, burning, or other irritation of the rectal area;
  • Dryness or changes in the skin around the rectum

Before you take this drug

Hemmorex HC should not be used if you have an allergy to hydrocortisone or palm oil.If you experience a fever or have any other type of infection, tell your doctor.Inform your doctor that you are expecting.Hemmorex HC should not be used while breastfeeding.Do not administer this medicine to an infant without consulting a doctor.

How to take Hemmorex HC?

Please read and heed all directions provided with your medication. If there are any unclear points, contact either your physician or pharmacist immediately for clarification.Take it only by mouth. Rectal medication is only to be used on the rectum.Please read and follow all instructions for use that come with your medication. If you don't understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Use rectal medication only after you have emptied your bowels and bladder.After using the medicine, wash your hands.Remove the wrapping before inserting the suppository.Hemmorex HC cream should only be used around the anus. The cream should not be inserted into the rectum.If your symptoms do not improve or worsen, contact a medical provider immediately.

Take this medicine only after consulting your physician and receiving their prescription. Use the rectal cream only to treat diaper rash.The rectal suppository can stain clothing and other fabrics that come into contact with it.Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat sources.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, don't take an extra one just yet. Instead, wait a day and take your next scheduled dosage instead of skipping this missed one. Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.

What happens if I overdose?

Contact 1-800-222-1222 immediately in case of poisoning and seek immediate medical advice.The use of steroids in high doses can cause thinning of the skin, increased acne, facial hair growth, menstrual issues, impotence, or a loss of interest in sexual activity.

What should be avoided?

If your doctor prescribes any restrictions regarding food, beverage, or activity, follow their instructions.

Interaction with other drug

Hemmorex HC may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are currently taking and those that you will begin or stop using.
