What is Gelclair topical ?

Gelclair works in a similar way to the fluid around your joints. This medicine works as a lubricant for the skin, restoring moisture to it and preventing friction. Gelclair is used for treating skin ulcers like bed-sores, diabetic foot ulcers, and burns. It can also be used to treat surgical incisions or cuts, abrasions, and other irritations. This skin medication can also be used to treat dry, scaly, or itchy skin. Gelclair oral gel is used for treating mouth sores and other irritations caused by infection, chemotherapy, radiation treatment, or dentistry. Gelclair can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Gelclair topical

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing and swelling to lips, face or throat. Seek emergency medical assistance immediately.

If you notice any new symptoms of a skin infection, such as:

  • Redness, warmth;
  • Pain, swelling;
  • Open or oozing sores

Before you take this drug

Gelclair should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the product. FDA pregnancy class C. Gelclair is not known to harm an unborn child. You should tell your doctor if you plan to become pregnant while taking Gelclair.

sodium-hyaluronate is not known to pass into breast milk or whether it can harm a baby who is nursing. You should tell your doctor if you're breastfeeding a child.

How to take Gelclair topical?

Do not alter the instructions on your prescription. Use this medication only as directed. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage and use for longer than intended. No other person should take or share this medication even if their symptoms match those of another.

Use sodium hylauronate as a skin moisturizer.

  • Gelclair gel, spray, cream, or film should be applied to a clean, disinfected skin surface.
  • Use enough medication to completely cover the affected area or the wound.
  • Gelclair cream, gel, or foam can be applied to an open wound by dabbing a thin layer onto the area. Avoid rubbing the skin.
  • Use a sterile fingercot or rubber glove to apply Gelclair. This will prevent contamination of the tube or bottle.
  • Cover the treated area of skin with a sterile dressing or gauze pad, as recommended by your physician.
  • Gelclair is applied to the skin 2 or 3 times a day. Please follow your doctor's advice.

Gelclair oral gel can be used as follows:

  • Open the gel package and pour all the contents into a glass. Stir the mixture well after adding 1 or 2 teaspoons of water.
  • You can use the gel undiluted if you don't have any water on hand.
  • Rinse thoroughly in your mouth by gargling and swishing the mixture for at least one minute.
  • Before spitting out the medicine, make sure that your teeth, gums, tongue, and cheeks have been well coated.
  • After using the oral gel, avoid eating or drinking for at least one hour.
  • Gelclair oral gel can be used up to three times per day. Please follow your doctor's directions.

If your symptoms don't improve, get worse, or you have new symptoms, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. When not in use, keep the tube tightly closed. Oral gels should not be opened until they are needed.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Gelclair topical can be used as needed, and there is no set schedule. Use the missed dose immediately if you use the medication regularly.If your next scheduled dose is fast approaching, forgoing any missed ones would likely not be prudent.. You should not take extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

What should be avoided?

Avoid getting Gelclair on your lips or in your mouth. If you do, rinse your mouth with water. Use only the oral gel version of sodium hyaluronate in the mouth. If you accidentally get this medication in your eyes, wash them with water. Avoid using wound disinfectants that contain quaternary ammonium. Only use the wound disinfection method that your doctor has prescribed.

Interaction with other drug

Gelclair is unlikely to interact with other drugs that you inject or take orally. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines you take, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
