
What is Gas-X?
Gas-X relieves painful pressure in the stomach or intestines caused by excessive gas. This medicine can be used by babies, children, and adults. This medication guide does not list all possible uses of Gas-X.
Side effects of Gas-X
If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing and swelling to lips, face, tongue or throat. Seek medical assistance immediately. Your side effects could range from milder ones or none at all. There may be additional side effects. Before you take this drug
Gas-X should not be used if you have an allergy to it. If you are allergic or have a serious illness, such as one that affects the stomach or intestines, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether it's safe to use Gas-X. Consult a medical expert prior to taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing. For people living with Phenylketonuria (PKU), consulting their doctor before using any simethicone form is strongly encouraged. Should any symptoms of PKU appear, such as swelling of joints and pain in joints, talk with their healthcare team regarding using any simethicone products as this form might not be safe to take.

How to take Gas-X?
Follow all instructions found on your medicine's label or prescribed by your healthcare provider. Take only the prescribed dose of this medication. It is best to take Gas-X after eating and before bed. The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed. Measuring liquid medicine is important. Use the provided dosing device or a dose-measuring tool (not a spoon). Gas-X liquid droplets can be mixed with water, formula, or other liquids to make it easier for a child or infant to swallow. Follow the directions on the label of the medicine when giving Gas-X to a child.If the child's symptoms continue to worsen after taking this medicine, contact your physician immediately. Gas-X may require you to increase your physical activity or follow a special eating plan. Please follow the instructions from your doctor or dietitian. Learn which foods you should eat and avoid in order to control your condition. Store away from heat, moisture, and light. The liquid form of the medicine should not be allowed to freeze.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Gas-X can be used as needed, and you don't need to follow a schedule.If it is nearly time for your next dose, make sure that any missed ones have not been administered.Never take two doses in one go.
What happens if I overdose?
Call 1-800-222-1222 if you suspect poison ingestion and require immediate medical help or seek emergency assistance immediately.
What should be avoided?
Consult with your physician regarding antacids and only take those prescribed by them - some antacids may contain Gas-X for added relief.
Interaction with other drug
Gas-X may be affected by other drugs, such as vitamins and herbal remedies. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are currently taking and those that you will begin or stop taking.
