What is Gainextra?

Gainextra helps you regrow your hair on the scalp. Gainextra does not permanently regrowth scalp hair. Continue using the product in order to maintain the growth of your hair. Gainextra can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Gainextra

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat. Gainextra can cause side effects, even though the risk is low.

Gainextra may cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Severe scalp irritation
  • Unwanted growth of facial hair
  • Chest pain, fast heartbeats;
  • Rapid weight gain; swelling of the hands and feet;
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
  • Headache, dizziness, and confusion;
  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly sensation)

Gainextra's side effects include:

  • Changes in your hair's color or texture.

Before you take this drug

Gainextra should not be used if your scalp skin is inflamed, infected, swollen, or red. This could allow for more medication to be absorbed into your body. Gainextra is a medication that can treat hair loss. Only use the Gainextra formula made specifically for your gender. This medicine is not for women.

If you suffer from another medical condition, such as:

  • Heart disease.

FDA pregnancy class C. Gainextra is not known to harm an unborn child. If you are pregnant, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor. It is unknown if minoxidil topically passes into breastmilk or if it can harm a nursing infant. If you are breastfeeding a child, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor. Under no circumstance should this medicine be given to anyone under 18 without first consulting their physician.

How to take Gainextra?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it. This medicine is not recommended to be taken in excess. It can cause side effects that are dangerous. Please read and follow all patient instructions included with this medicine to ensure safe and effective usage. For any additional inquiries or if any issues arise, contact either your healthcare provider or pharmacist immediately. Apply Gainextra to your scalp and hair after you have dried them. Apply the recommended amount of Gainextra to the affected scalp areas. Gainextra should be applied twice daily, in the morning and evening. After applying Gainextra, wash your hands. Do not use Gainextra on any other part of your body. Use it only on your scalp. You may not notice any new hair for up to four months. New hair usually grows softly and gradually over time - usually without being noticeable to others.The hair will eventually have the same thickness and color as your existing hair. If you don't see hair growth within 4 months, speak to your doctor. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature. Avoid putting the Gainextra foam canister near an open flame or a high temperature, like in a hot car. If the canister gets too warm, it may explode. Empty canisters should not be punctured or burned.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as you recall, apply the missed dose. If it's almost time to take your next dose, skip the missed dose. Don't use extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Gainextra overdoses are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, seek emergency medical care or call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.

What should be avoided?

Avoid getting Gainextra into your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse the affected area with water if this happens. Use only Gainextra on the area you are treating, unless you have been told by your doctor to use other products.

Interaction with other drug

Minoxidil, applied topically, is unlikely to be affected by other drugs taken orally or injected. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines you take, including over-the-counter and prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
