How to take Fungoid?
Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it. Take only by skin. Fungoid is only for skin use. This medicine should not be used for open wounds. Before and after using medication on your hands for treating skin ailments, always wash both before and after taking this treatment. Apply the cream, lotion, spray or powder according to its directions twice per day for two to four weeks for best results. Cover the area only as instructed by your physician; to protect clothing, light cotton-gauze dressing can be applied over it for added protection. Should be taken exactly as prescribed. While symptoms may subside after taking this medicine, missing doses increases your chance of reinfection resistant to antifungal medication and could increase resistance levels further down the road. If the infection does not resolve within two weeks (four for athlete's foot infections) or appears to worsen, contact your physician as soon as possible. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature in an airtight tube when not in use. Keep tightly sealed to maintain shelf life.
What happens if I miss the dose?
As soon as you recall, apply the missed dose. If your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose. You should not take extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.
What happens if I overdose?
Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.
What should be avoided?
Do not administer this medicine directly into the eyes, mouth, nose, or other sensitive areas. Wear loose-fitting cotton or natural fiber clothing instead, in order to stay infection-free. Synthetic clothing restricts airflow too tightly. This may exacerbate an infection.
Interaction with other drug
Miconazole applied topically is unlikely to be affected by other medications taken orally or intravenously. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines you take, including vitamins and herbal remedies.
