What is Epiduo Gel?

Epiduo gel consists of a mix of benzoyl and adapalene. Adapalene is akin to Vitamin A. It aids in the renewal of the skin itself. Benzoyl peroxide has antibacterial properties. Additionally, it has a slight drying effect that lets dirt and oils be easily removed from the face.Epiduo gel can be utilized to address acne vulgaris (severe acne) in those who are nine years of age or older.

Side effects of Epiduo Gel

Benzoyl peroxide could cause a rare but serious allergic reaction or extreme inflammation of the skin. Prior to using this drug

How to take Epiduo Gel?

Make sure you use the Epiduo tablet exactly according to the way your physician advised you to use it. Follow the instructions on your prescription label, and go through all the medication guides or instructions sheets. Epiduo is generally administered once per day. Follow the instructions of your physician. Cleanse your hands prior to or after using Epiduo gel. Cleanse and dry the skin that is to be treated. The affected area must be thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to application.
A pea-sized amount of the product should be used for every facial area (e.g., the forehead and chin area, every cheek).
Adapalene 0.3%/Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% Gel
12-year-olds and over:
Usual dosage Apply a thin layer to the area affected at least once per day.

Comments:
The affected area must be thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to application.
A pea-sized amount of the product is recommended for each facial area (e.g., cheeks, forehead, and each cheek).

What happens if I miss the dose?

Take the medication as quickly as you are able, but do not take the missed dose if you think it is getting close to the time of the next dose.Do not administer two doses at once.

Do not get this medicine into your mouth, eyes, or vagina. This medication is intended for use exclusively on your skin. Avoid use on open wounds or sunburned, windburned, chapped, or irritated skin. Avoid applying Epiduo to open wounds or regions of the eczema. Epiduo may cause you to get sunburned more quickly. Avoid tanning beds or sunlight. Protect yourself with protective clothes and apply sunblock (SPF 30 or more) whenever you're outside. Avoid using products for your skin that can cause irritation, for example, harsh soaps or cleansing products for your skin, hair coloring, permanent chemical hair removers, waxes, or products for the skin made of alcohol, spices, lime, or astringents.

Interaction with other drug

Skin care products are unlikely to be influenced by any other medication you are taking; however, many medications can interact. Inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking, such as prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
