What is Enfortumab Vedotin?

Enfortumab vedotin can be utilized to treat bladder cancer of the urinary tract and bladder in patients who have spread to various regions within the human body (metastatic) or can't be removed through surgical intervention.Enfortumab vedotin is typically used in conjunction with other treatments, like immunotherapy or platinum cancer medicines, or when you are not able to receive platinum cancer treatment.Enfortumab is also used for reasons not mentioned in this guideline.

Enfortumab Vedotin side effects

See a doctor immediately. If you are experiencing symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, and throat,Enfortumab vedotin may cause severe and potentially life-threatening skin conditions. Seek medical attention immediately in the event of a growing skin rash, which is itchy and peeling skin lesions that appear like rings, flu-like or fever-like symptom glands that are swollen, painful sores on your nose, mouth, throat, and genital region.

Contact your doctor immediately. If you experience symptoms of elevated glucose levels:

  • Increased drinking, dry mouth, odor of fruity breath;
  • Increased urination
  • Blurred vision blurred vision, confusion, sleepiness,
  • Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, and loss of appetite.

Make sure to contact your doctor at any time if you suffer from:

  • Tingling, numbness, or muscle weakness in your feet or hands

Before you take this drug

Inform your doctor if you were ever diagnosed with:

  • Your feet and hands may experience numbness or tingling sensations that cause them discomfort, leading to possible nerve damage.
  • Diabetes;
  • High blood sugar
  • The liver condition.

Enfortumab vedotin could harm an unborn child when the father or mother is taking enfortumab vedotin.

  • If you're female, you may need an ultrasound test to be sure that you're not pregnant. Make sure you use contraceptives during the course of this medicine and at least for 2 months after the last dose.
  • If you're male, use birth control when your partner in sex is likely to become pregnant. Continue using birth control for a minimum of 4 months following your last dose.

How to take Enfortumab Vedotin

Usual Adult Dose for Urothelial Carcinoma:

1.25 mg/kg (up to 135 mg for patients who weigh 100 kg or more) Injection for 30 minutes on Days 1, 8, and 15 of a 28-day course

Have previously received a programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1) or programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor or a chemotherapy containing platinum?
Are not eligible to receive the cisplatin-containing chemotherapy. They have also had one or more treatments.
Together with pembrolizumab to treat adult patients suffering from metastatic or locally advanced urothelial cancers that aren't suitable for chemotherapy with cisplatin.
