What is Dextran 70 6% in 5% Dextrose (high molecular weight)?

Dextran High-molecular Dextran 70 6 5 Dextrose, a natural source of glucose (sugar), is used to expand the plasma. The drug works by replacing blood plasma that has been lost due to severe bleeding. Severe blood loss may cause organ damage, brain injury, coma, and even death. The plasma is required to circulate the red blood cells, which deliver oxygen all over the body. Dextran 70 % in 5 % Dextrose can be used to treat hypovolemia, which is a decrease in the volume of blood plasma circulating. This may occur after surgery, injury or trauma, severe burns, or other bleeding causes. Dextran 70 % in Dextrose 5% may be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Dextran 70 6% in 5% Dextrose (high molecular weight)

While you receive high-molecular-weight Dextran (70–6%) in Dextrose (5%), your breathing, blood oxygen level, kidney function, and other vital indicators will be closely monitored. You will need daily blood tests and chest x-rays during the treatment.

You are unlikely to miss any doses because you receive Dextran 70%, 6%, Dextrose 5%, 70 6%, and Dextrose 5% in the clinical setting.
