Desonide helps to reduce inflammation. DesOwen Kit 2 oz (for skin) treats inflammation and itching due to eczema, or conditions of the skin that respond to steroids. DesOwen Lotion Kit 2 oz. may be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

If you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling on your lips, face, throat or tongue it could be related to allergies.
DesOwen Lotion, 2 oz. Kits may cause serious side effects. If you experience:
- Skin conditions are worsening;
- Redness, heat, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation on any skin treated
- Blurred vision, pain in the eyes, or seeing halos around lights
- Dry mouth and fruity breath smell;
- Possible signs that you have absorbed DesOwen Lotion Kit 2 oz through your skin include: weight gain, especially in the face, upper back, and torso; slow wound healing or discoloration; increased hair on your body; muscle weakness or fatigue; nausea or diarrhea.
Children's growth can be affected by steroids. If your child's growth isn't normal while taking this medication, tell your doctor.

- The skin may sting or burn after treatment.

How to take DesOwen Lotion 2 oz Kit?
Read and follow all instructions or guides provided with your medication.Follow the directions on your prescription label. Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines are only to be used on the skin. If this medication gets into your mouth or eyes, rinse with water. Before each use, shake the lotion. After using desonide, wash your hands, except if you're using it to treat your skin. Rub a thin layer on the affected skin. You should not use this medication to cover a wide area of the skin unless you have been told by your doctor. Cover the area of skin that has been treated only if your doctor says so. The amount of medicine that is absorbed by your skin can be increased if you cover the treated area. This may have harmful side effects.
Use only loose-fitting or plastic diapers if you're treating your diaper area. The medicine should only be used for a short time (between 2 and 4 weeks). Dosage instructions should be followed very closely by your doctor. Once your symptoms have been controlled, you should discontinue using the medication. If your symptoms remain unchanged or worsen, contact a physician immediately. Keep the bottle or tube at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. When not in use, keep the tube or bottle tightly closed.
What happens if I miss the dose?
If you are close to your next dose, skip the missed one. Never apply two doses at once.

DesOwen Lotion Kit, 2 oz., can cause thinning of the skin or easy bruising. It may also lead to changes in body weight (especially on your neck, face, back, and waist), acne, facial hair, or menstrual issues.
What should be avoided?
Do not get DesOwen Lotion Kit 2 oz in your nose, mouth, or eyes.Use the DesOwen Lotion 2 Oz Kit only after consulting your physician to diagnose and treat skin conditions.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine applied to your skin. Many drugs interact. Inform your health care providers of all the medicines that you take, including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbs.
