What is Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Moisturizer?

Salicylic acid causes the skin's outer layer to peel off. Dermarest Dermatology is used to treat acne, dandruff, and psoriasis. It can also be used for the removal of corns, warts, and calluses. Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side Effects of Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Moisturizer

Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer may cause an allergic reaction, which can be severe. The reactions can occur within minutes of applying the medication, but they may also take a full day to manifest. If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop using Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer immediately and seek emergency medical attention: hives; itching; difficulty breathing; feeling lightheaded; swelling on your lips, face, tongue, or throat.

Stop using Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer immediately and consult your physician if:

  • Severe headache; ringing or buzzing in the ears; hearing problems; mental problems
  • Severe stomach pains, nausea, or diarrhea.
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
  • Shortness of breath
  • Severe burning, irritation, and/or dryness of the skin.

Side effects that may occur from Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer include:

  • skin rash or minor irritation;
  • Changes in the skin color (usually bleaching)

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer, do not use it.

Use of Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer if a child has flu-like symptoms or the chickenpox may cause Reye’s syndrome.

If you suffer from:

  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Diabetes;
  • Blood circulation disorders

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing.

How to take Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Moisturizer?

Dermarest Psoriasis Medical Moisturizer comes in various forms: liquid, gels, lotions, creams, foams, soaps, shampoos, cloth pads, and patches. Follow the instructions on the packaging or those prescribed by your physician. Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines must only be applied directly to the skin. Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer may cause an allergic reaction, which is rare but can be serious. It could also lead to severe irritation of the skin. As a test dose, apply a small amount to one or two small areas of skin every day. On the fourth day, if you don't have an allergic reaction to the medication, use the full amount prescribed. Shake the medication before using it. Please follow all the instructions listed on your label. Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer should not be used to treat conditions that have not been examined by your physician. Your symptoms should gradually improve over the coming days; if they remain the same or worsen, consult a medical provider immediately. Keep this medication in its original container, at room temperature, and away from heat or moisture. The foam canister should be kept away from flames or heat. When your canister gets too warm, it could potentially explode and burst. Empty aerosol canisters should not be punctured or burned.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer can be used as needed. You can skip any dose you miss if your regimen has a set schedule. Never use more than one dose at a time.

What happens if I overdose?

If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, seek emergency medical care or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222.

What should be avoided?

Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer should not be used on wounds that are open or sunburned. If this medication gets into your mouth or eyes, rinse with water. The medicine is flammable. Avoid using near-open flames or high temperatures. Before using a styling tool (like a straightener or curling iron), wash your hands to remove the medication. The medicine could ignite, causing your skin to burn. Smoking is not allowed until all the gel on your skin has dried. If your doctor has not told you otherwise, avoid using any other medication on areas that you are treating with Dermarest Psoriasis Moisturizer.

Interaction with other drug

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter medications. Inform your doctor of all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and prescription medicines as well as vitamins and herbs.
