What is DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak?

Capsaicin, the ingredient that gives chili peppers their heat, is found in them. In medicated lotions and creams, capsaicin can be used to treat muscle pain or joints. Diclofenac (NSAID) is a nonsteroidal analgesic drug. DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak is used for treating joint pain and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis in the knees. DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak is not effective for treating pain anywhere else in the body. DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak

Should any of these symptoms appear, seek emergency medical assistance immediately. When DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPaks are applied directly to your skin, serious side effects may not occur. However, they can if you allow the medication to enter your bloodstream. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

The side effects of this medicine can be serious. If you experience:

  • A skin rash is a rash on the body, regardless of how mild it may be.
  • Rapid weight gain, swelling, and shortness of breath even with light exertion;
  • Signs of stomach bleeding include bloody or tarry stool, vomiting that looks like coffee, or coughing up a lot of blood.
  • Liver problems: loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, itching (right upper side), dark urine, clay-colored stools, and jaundice.
  • If you have kidney disease, it can cause swelling of your ankles or feet, fatigue, or feeling short of breath.
  • Low red blood cells (anemia), pale skin, unusual fatigue, lightheadedness or feeling short-of-breath, and cold hands and/or feet

Some of the most common side effects associated with DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak include:

  • Skin rash or irritation, including blistering, itching, and skin redness;
  • Dryness or hardening of treated skin

Warnings

Diclofenac may increase the risk of a fatal stroke or heart attack. DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak should not be used before or immediately after cardiac bypass surgery. Diclofenac can also cause fatal stomach and intestinal bleeding.

Before you take this drug

Diclofenac may increase the risk of a fatal stroke or heart attack, even if there are no risk factors. This medicine should not be taken before or immediately after a heart bypass (CABG, coronary artery bypass). Diclofenac can also cause fatal stomach and intestinal bleeding. If you use DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak regularly, these conditions may occur suddenly and without notice. This medicine should not be used if the user is allergic to diclofenac or capsaicin, or if they have had an allergic reaction or asthma attack after using aspirin.

If you've ever:

  • Heart Disease can often result in high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and diabetes; to be exact.
  • An unexpected heart attack, stroke or blood clot could be life threatening events that require immediate medical intervention.
  • Stomach ulcers and bleeding
  • Asthma;
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Fluid retention.

Do not take an NSAID in the final 20 weeks of your pregnancy unless you have been advised to do so by your doctor. This can lead to serious kidney or heart problems for the baby, as well as complications during your pregnancy. Breastfeeding may be unsafe while taking this medication. You should ask your doctor if there are any risks. The use of this medicine by those under 18 is prohibited.

How to take DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak?

Before taking any medication, please read and adhere to all accompanying instructions or guides.Follow the directions on your prescription label. Take it only as directed. DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak should only be used on the skin. Rinse your mouth and eyes with water if this medication gets into them. Apply to wounds that are not open or on sunburnt, chapped, infected, or irritated skin. Avoid covering treated skin or exposing it to the heat of a sauna, hot tub, or heating pad. Only apply the solution to dry, clean skin. Apply the solution to the sides, front, and back of each knee.

After applying the medicine, wash your hands. You should wait at least 30 minutes before bathing or showering. Do not apply any skin care products until the solution has dried completely. This includes cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, and insect repellents. Don't allow anyone to touch your skin after applying the medication. The burning sensation can occur wherever capsaicin is used. The sensation should lessen with time and regular usage of the medication. Wash the affected area of skin with cool, soapy water if the sensation of burning is severe or painful. Seek medical help immediately if there is severe pain, blistering, burning, or swelling. You may require frequent medical testing if you take this medication for a long time. If your symptoms of arthritis do not improve within 7 days or worsen and then get better again in a short period of time, call your doctor.Avoid heat and moisture at room temperature. The DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak is highly flammable. Avoid using near-open flames or high temperatures. Smoke only after the gel is completely dry.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You may not have a schedule for DermacinRx Lexitral PharmaPak, as it is only used when necessary. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip any missed doses. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency medical care, particularly if someone has swallowed this substance accidentally.

What should be avoided?

Do not expose treated skin to sunlight or heat. Do not bathe or shower for 30 minutes after applying DermacinRx. Avoid vigorous exercise. Capsaicin can cause a burning sensation when combined with warm water or sweat. Do not get this medication in your nose, eyes, or mouth. Alcohol is harmful to your health. Alcohol can increase the risk of bleeding in your stomach.

Interaction with other drug

Inform your doctor of all other medications, including:

  • Cyclosporine;
  • Lithium;
  • Methotrexate;
  • A blood thinner, such as warfarin (coumadin), jantoven, or coumadin;
  • Heart or blood pressure medications, such as diuretics or "water pills,"
  • Steroids (prednisone and others).
