What is Artelac Nighttime?
There are a variety of types and brands of lubricant for eyes available, but there are a few that are not listed in this brochure.Artelac Nighttime is a prescription medication used by adults to ease irritation, burning, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.Artelac Nighttime can also be used to treat conditions not covered in this medication guide.

See a doctor immediately. If you are experiencing symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, and tongue,
Stop taking Artelac at night and consult your doctor if:
- Intense burning, stinging, or eye irritations after taking the medication;
- Eye discomfort
- Vision shifts.
Common negative consequences of artelac nighttime could include:
- Mild eye burning or irritation
- The itching or eye redness;
- Eyes with watery eyes
- Blurred vision
- Sensitivity to light

Before you take this drug
It is not recommended to use Artelac at night if you are allergic to it. This medication will not help treat or prevent eye infections.Talk to a pharmacist or doctor to determine if it's safe to take Artelac Nighttime when you have any kind of eye infection within your eyes.Inform your doctor if you are nursing or pregnant.
How to take Artelac Nighttime?
Follow the directions on your prescription label, and go through all medication guides or instructions. Follow the medication precisely as directed.Wash your hands after applying Artelac Nighttime.Do not take Artelac at night, and contact your doctor if the medication is cloudy or has changed colour.Don't touch the tip of the dropper ointment tube. Do not place it directly in the eye. The contaminated tip could cause an eye infection, which could result in serious vision issues.Consult your physician if symptoms don't improve or if your symptoms become worse after taking Artelac Nighttime.Place it in a cool, dry place free of heat and moisture.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Artelac Nighttime is used only when necessary. If you're following a prescribed dosage schedule, do not miss any doses. Don't take two doses at once.
What happens if I overdose?
A dose of ocular lubricant that is too high isn't likely to be a danger.Should someone swallow medicines accidentally, seek immediate medical assistance or contact the Poison Help Line immediately at 1-800-222-1222.
What should be avoided?
Artelac nighttime may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or engaging in hazardous activities until you understand the effects this medication can have on your vision.Do not use any other eye medications unless your physician advises you to.
Interaction with other drug
The eye medicine is unlikely to be affected by any other medications that you are taking. However, there are many drugs that interact with each other. Discuss with your doctor all of your current medications, such as prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbs.
