It may be necessary to shake the medicine prior to every use. Follow the instructions on the label of the medicine.

To treat scabies:

  • Cleanse and dry the skin. Apply a thin layer of this treatment to every body part, from the neck all the way to the soles of your feet. Massage it thoroughly. Apply the cream to your skin for anywhere from 8 to 14 hours. Then cleanse it completely.
  • When applying Permethrin Topical  to an infant, apply the cream to the temples, scalp, and forehead. Do not apply near the nose, eyes, mouth, or genitals.
  • If the condition doesn't improve after 14 days of treatment, try applying the topical treatment again.

For treating lice on the head:

  • Shampoo your hair exclusively (no conditioners or two-in-one shampoos). Rinse thoroughly, then towel dry your hair. Leave it damp.
  • Keep your eyes protected by an eye-protection towel or washcloth. Apply the treatment to thoroughly cover all hair, then let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse by using hot water.
  • It is also possible to employ a nit comb in order to get rid of lice eggs from your hair. Your hair should be damp before using a conditioner. Only work on one piece of hair at a time by combing through 1- to 2-inch-long hair strands from the scalp up to the ends.
  • Rinse the nit-comb regularly when using it. Remove the nits in a plastic bag, then throw it in the trash.
  • Make sure to check the scalp every day to ensure that all hair nits have been eliminated.
  • If you notice lice after 7 days of the first treatment, you can apply for another application.

Treatment of the symptoms of pubic lice (crabs):

  • Sexual partners of all kinds should be treated with respect.
  • Clean and dry the area of treatment. Apply the topical application of permethrin to all pubic hairs as well as any hairs that surround it on the anus and thighs (avoid areas in the vagina or rectum).
  • Allow the cream to sit for 10 minutes. After that, work it into a lather, and then rinse using warm water.
  • You can also employ a nit comb in order to eliminate lice eggs from the pubic hair (the hair should be damp).

To avoid reinfection To avoid reinfection, clean all hats and clothing. To prevent reinfection, wash all bed linens, clothes, and towels with hot water. Then dry with high temperatures. Dry-clean any clothing that isn't washable. Soak the hair brushes, combs, or hair tools in boiling water for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Use a surface spray of permethrin to disinfect items that are not washable, like:

  • Furniture;
  • Pillows and mattresses;
  • Toys with stuffed toys;
  • Accessories, such as gloves, hats, and scarves;
  • Headbands or headphones
  • The insides of a bicycle helmet the insides of a bicycle helmet
  • Carpets and seats inside the car

Pillows and toys that are not washable must be kept in airtight plastic bags for four weeks. Once you have removed the bag, vigorously shake the item outside. Vacuum all carpets and rugs, as well as the car seat. After that, throw the bag of vacuum cleaner. To ensure that you receive the best treatment for scabies and lice, it is essential to take care of your surroundings (clothing, bedding, etc.) in the same way you take care of your body and hair.
