Drug Class: Nasal steroids.

What is beclomethasone nasal?

Beclomethasone is a steroid that blocks the release of chemicals in the body that trigger inflammation. The nasal spray Beclomethasone (for the nasal area) is used to manage issues like sneezing, congestion, and nasal runniness that are caused by seasonal or all-year-round allergies. It is also used to treat allergies that cause sneezing and congestion, and a Beconase brand can also be used to prevent nose polyps from recurring in the aftermath of the procedure to eliminate the nasal polyps. Beclomethasone can also be used for reasons not mentioned in this guideline.

Adverse effects of Beclomethasone nasal

Contact a medical professional immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, and tongue.

Beclomethasone nasal can result in serious side effects. Contact your physician immediately if you suffer from:

  • Chronic or persistent nosebleeds.
  • Nasal sores that won't heal.
  • Eye pain, blurred vision, or seeing halos of light.
  • Indications of a hormonal disorder: worsening fatigue or muscle weakness and anxiety; feeling angry or lightheaded; nausea, vomiting; weight loss or weight growth (especially on your face, the upper part of your back, or your torso).
  • Indications of infection Symptoms include fever, sores, chills, or white patches on or near your nasal area; flu symptoms include swelling, redness, or swelling.

Beclomethasone nasal spray could cause growth problems in children. Consult your physician in the event that you suspect your child isn't growing as normal when using beclomethasone nasal.

Before you take this drug

Beclomethasone is not recommended for use as a nasal spray if you have an allergy to beclomethasone. Before taking beclomethasone, inform your doctor if you have been sick or suffered from any infections. You might not be able to take beclomethasone nasal spray until you are fully recovered. Beconase is not recommended for a child who is less than six years old. Qnasl should not be administered to a child who is younger than four years of age.

Speak to your doctor if you have ever suffered from:

  • Glaucoma or cataracts.
  • Herpes simplex virus that is visible to your eyes.
  • Tuberculosis or any other disease or infection.
  • Ulcers or sores on your nose.

How to take beclomethasone nasally?

Follow the directions on the prescription label and review all medication guides and instruction sheets. Make sure you use the medicine exactly as prescribed.

The recommended dosage is between 1 and 2 sprays in each nostril every day. Take care to follow your doctor's dosage directions. What should be avoided?

Beware of getting this medication into your eyes. If it does happen, wash your eyes with water and contact your doctor. Beware of those who are sick or suffer from infections. Contact your doctor to get preventive treatment when you've been affected by chickenpox and measles. These diseases can be severe or even fatal for people who take steroid medication.
