What is Flora-Q?

Flora-Q is a type of bacteria that is naturally present throughout the body, particularly in the intestines and vagina. The medicine is used as a probiotic, also known as "friendly bacteria." Flora-Q has been utilized as an alternative treatment for diarrhea in children who have rotavirus. Flora-Q has been utilized in alternative medicine as a beneficial aid (in children and adults) to prevent diarrhea that is due to antibiotics and chemotherapy, travel, or hospitalization. It is also useful in the treatment of conditions known as irritable bowel syndrome and bacterial vaginal infections, as well as colic in infants, asthma in kids, skin conditions in children who are sensitive to milk, and other ailments. Flora-Q is also used in the treatment of lactose intolerance, Crohn's disease, excessive growth of bacteria in the digestive tract, or vaginal yeast infections that are caused by antibiotics. However, studies have shown that this drug might not be efficient in treating these conditions.

Other uses that aren't supported by research include treating digestive problems in premature infants, high cholesterol, lyme disease, cold sores, cancer, acne, the general cold, and many other ailments. It is not known if Flora-Q can be effective for treating medical conditions of any kind. The use of this product for medicinal purposes is not endorsed by the FDA. This medication is not to be used in lieu of the medication prescribed by your physician. Flora-Q is typically sold as an herbal supplement. There aren't any regulated manufacturing standards for many herbal substances, and some supplements sold on the market have been discovered to be infected with poisonous metals or other substances. Purchase of quality herbal and health supplements should only come from reliable sources in order to reduce risks of contamination. Flora-Q can also be used for additional reasons that are not covered in this product's guide.
