What is Soothe xp preservative-free?
This leaflet does not list all available brands or forms of eye lubricants. Soothexp free of preservatives is used by adults to relieve irritation, burning, and discomfort due to dry eyes. Soothe preservative-free may be used in other ways not mentioned in this medication guide.
Side effects of Soothe preservative-free
If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives, face or throat swelling and difficulty swallowing. Please seek immediate medical assistance: difficulty in breathing; hives; facial, lip or throat swelling or difficulty in swallowing.
Call your doctor if:
- After using the medication, you may experience severe eye irritation, burning, or stinging.
- Eye pain
- Vision changes
Soothe xp preservative-free may cause the following side effects:
- Mild eye irritation or burning;
- Itching or redness in your eyes
- Watery eyes
- Blurred vision
- Light sensitivity

Warnings
Do not use soothe xp to treat or prevent eye infections.
Before you take this drug
If you have an allergy to the product, do not use it. The medicine does not treat an eye infection or prevent it. If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist if soothe xp is safe to use. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.
How to take Soothe xp preservative-free?
Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all instructions on the label. Follow the directions on the label. Before using soothe xp, wash your hands. Call your pharmacist if you notice that the medicine has become cloudy or changed color.
Avoid touching or placing directly onto your eye the tip of an eye dropper or ointment tube as this could potentially pose serious vision risks if contaminated. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while using soothe xp preservative-free, call your doctor. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
What happens if i miss the dose?
Soothe xp preservative-free is used as needed. You can skip any missed dose if you have a regular dosing regimen. Never use two doses in one go.
What happens if i overdose?
Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the poison help line for immediate medical attention.
What should be avoided?
Soothe xp without preservatives may cause blurred or double vision. Do not drive or engage in any hazardous activities until you have ascertained how the medicine affects you. You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.
Interaction with other drug
Your other medications should not interfere with the eye medication you're prescribed; however, many drugs interact. Be sure to inform your doctor of all of the drugs, over-the-counter or herbal supplements you are taking (even nonprescription ones!).
