What is Castellani paint?

Castellani paint can be used to protect the skin against infection from minor wounds or scrapes. Use castellani paint on the scalp for dandruff. Phenol topical is used to temporarily relieve minor mouth irritation or pain, sore neck, or canker sores. Castellani paint can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Before you take this drug

How to take Castellani paint?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Castellani paint comes in a variety of forms. These include a liquid, swab (liquid), ointment (ointment), spray, and lozenge. You can apply a tiny amount of this medication to your skin before using castellani paint. This will ensure that you don't experience a reaction. Castellani paint can be applied in the mouth as required, up to twice every two hours. Children aged 6–12 years should not exceed 10 lozenges per 24 hours. Do not use castellani paint on your lips if the product is intended for skin use.

If your sore or persistent throat persists after two days or you have a high fever, headache, nausea, or vomiting, call your doctor. Do not let a child under 12 years of age use this medication without adult supervision.

Store away from moisture or heat. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. The castellani paint swabs are only intended for one-time use. Some forms of topical phenol can stain clothing and skin. Avoid spilling the medication.

What happens if i miss the dose?

Do not take the missed dose. Use your next dose as usual. Do not take two doses in one go.

What happens if i overdose?

What should be avoided?

Do not get castellani paint on your eyes.
