How to take Lumasiran?
Lumasiran injections are given under the skin.This injection will be administered by a healthcare provider.Lumasiran can be given every 1 to 3 weeks.Lumasiran dosages are determined by weight. If your child loses or gains weight, the dose needed by your child may change.Diet may be required in some instances. You should follow the instructions given by your doctor or dietitian. Details on dosage
Adult dose for primary hyperoxaluria:
Minimum 20 kg
Loading dosage: 3 mg/kg once a month subcutaneously for 3 doses
Maintenance dosage: 3 mg/kg percutaneously every three months (quarterly).
Use: To lower plasma and urinary oxalate concentrations in primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1).
The usual paediatric dose for primary hyperoxaluria is
Weighing less than 10 kg
Loading dosage: 6 mg/kg once a month subcutaneously for 3 doses
Maintenance dosage: 3 mg/kg once a month subcutaneously
10 kg and less:
Loading dosage: 6 mg/kg once a month subcutaneously for 3 doses
Maintenance dose: 6 mg/kg subcutaneously, every 3 months.
