What is Hyoscyamine and phenyltoloxamine?

Side effects of Hyoscyamine and phenyltoloxamine
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
The side effects of phenyltoloxamine and hyoscyamine can be serious. If you experience:
- If you feel your heart pounding or your chest fluttering, then this is a sign that it's time to seek medical attention.
- Constipation or severe stomach cramps
- Little or no urination
- Memory problems, confusion, and slurred words are all symptoms of confusion.
- Diarrhea;
- Problems with muscle or balance movement.
In older adults, side effects like confusion, constipation, and dry mouth are more common.
Side effects that may occur from hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine include:
- Dizziness, drowsiness;
- Constipation;
- Reduced sweating; decreased urination
- Dry mouth
- Blurred vision
- Impotence is a condition that causes impotence, loss of interest, or difficulty having an orgasm.

Warnings
If you have severe ulcerative colitis or are unable to urinate, you should not take hyoscyamine.Tell your doctor before taking hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine if you suffer from glaucoma. Also, if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, coronary artery diseases, or thyroid disorders,
Before you take this drug
This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to hyoscyamine, phenyltoloxamine, or:
- You may have severe ulcerative colitis.
- You are unable to urinate.
This medicine may not be suitable for you if you suffer from untreated or uncontrolled conditions such as uncontrolled glaucoma or asthma, uncontrolled heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure or coronary artery diseases, or a thyroid condition.
Tell your doctor about:
- A bladder obstruction or any other urination problem;
- An enlarged prostate
- Ulcerative colitis
- Glaucoma;
- Myasthenia gravis;
- Liver or kidney disease
- Heart problems
- Breathing problems
Inform your physician immediately if you are pregnant or nursing.Do not administer this medicine to an infant without consulting a doctor.
How to take Hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine?
Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Take with foodAvoid inhaling powder medication from a capsule that has been broken or opened.Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat and light.
What happens if I miss the dose?
You should take your dose as soon as you can, but only when you are about to eat. Skip the dose if you miss a meal and wait until the next meal.Do not take more than one dose at a time.

What should be avoided?
Hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine should not be taken at the same time as an antacid. Antacids may make it more difficult for your body to absorb hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine. After taking hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine, you can take an antacid.Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication.This medication may cause blurred or impaired vision and affect your reaction. Do not drive or engage in hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you.Avoid overheating or dehydration during exercise and hot weather. You may become more susceptible to heat stroke if you take this medicine.
Interaction with other drug
Ask your doctor before taking an opioid medication, a sleeping pill, a muscle relaxer, or medicine. Before taking an opioid, sleeping pill, muscle relaxer, or medicine to treat a seizure, ask your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, including:
- Medicine to treat depression or mood disorders;
- Cold or allergy medication (Benadryl et al.)
- Medicine to treat Parkinson’s disease
- Medicine to treat stomach problems, motion sickness, or irritable bowel syndrome
- Medicine to treat overactive urinary bladder
- Asthma medication bronchodilator.
