What is Max Tussin Cough + Chest Congestion DM?
Dextromethorphan works as a Cough suppressant. Guaifenesin works as an expectorant. Side effects of Max Tussin Cough +Chest Congestion DM
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue.
Call your doctor immediately if:
- Mood changes
- Headache or severe
- Feeling like you could pass out or dizziness;
The following are some of the most common side effects that Max Tussin Chest Congestion + Cough DM can cause:
- dizziness, drowsiness;
- sleep problems (insomnia);
- diarrhea; or
- Feeling nervous, restless or anxious;.

Warnings
If you've taken an MAO-inhibitor in the last 14 days (such as isocarboxazid or linezolid), this medicine should not be used.
Before you take this drug
If you have taken MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days, do not use Max Tussin Chest Congestion DM. A dangerous medication interaction may occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (selegiline), rasagiline (selegiline injection), methylene-blue injection, and tranylcypromine.
If you suffer from:
- A cough that produces mucus
- asthma emphysema or chronic lung disease.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medication.
How to take Max Tussin Cough + Chest Congestion DM?
Follow the directions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time until symptoms have cleared up.
Follow the directions on the label of any medicine you give to your child. Use the medicine to calm a child, not just to put him or her to sleep. The misuse of cough and cold medicine in very young children can lead to death.
- Measuring liquid medicine is important. Use the provided dosing device or a dose-measuring tool (not a spoon).
- It may be necessary to shake the liquid prior to measuring a dose. Please read and follow all the instructions present on label.
- Do not chew and crush the ER(Extended release) tablets.
- The granules can be sprinkled directly on your tongue. Swallow immediately.
- While taking this medication, drink extra fluids in order to loosen congestion and lubricate the throat.
- If your symptoms don't improve within 7 days or you experience a rash or a temperature then call your doctor.
- Tell the surgeon if you've taken the medicine in the last few days if you are going to need any kind of surgery.
- Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Max Tussin Chest Congestion DM can be used as needed. You may not have a schedule. If the time for the second dose comes, skip your missed dosage. Never take two doses together. Never take two doses in one go.

What should be avoided?
Do not drive or engage in hazardous activities until you have determined how Max Tussin Chest Congestion DM affects you. You may be unable to react properly. Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication. Before using any other cold or cough medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist if they contain similar ingredients.
Interaction with other drugs
Use this medicine only if you are not taking any other medications that can cause drowsiness, slow breathing, or anxiety (such as an opioid, muscle relaxer or medication for seizures). Before using this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist if you also use any other medications, such as vitamins and herbal remedies.
